International network

The AFP's International Liaison Officer Network has over 103 positions in 29 countries, incorporating 30 Posts and 7 offices around the world. AFP International Liaison Officers are the Australian Government's law enforcement representatives overseas.

The Network is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you are a member of a law enforcement agency, ask the AFP to contact the International Network for:

  • Police to police assistance for investigations where the criminality overseas may involve the death penalty.
  • Police to police assistance for investigations where you require a law enforcement officer to undertake operational activity on your behalf, for example, for statements.
  • Assistance and advice for officers travelling internationally in the course of their duties.
