Less concerned with being a WAG than wagging tails: Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria fronts PETA's Cruelty-Free Shopping campaign

She's got to be admired.

While many young civilians who manage to bag big name celebrities exploit the new found notoriety to further their own career, Hilaria Baldwin has decided to use her higher profile to promote awareness of a vital issue.

The brunette is lending her stunning visage to PETA’s Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide campaign and fronted the launch event in New York today.

Hilaria Baldwin, 28, wants everyone to know where they can find cruelty-free beauty products.

She said: 'I want to feel like I’m looking my best, but not at the expense of animals.'

She told Hollywood Life about her favourite animal-friendly make up, including Urban Decay, revealing that she was wearing their eye make up for the event.

There was also a shout out for The Body Shop 's Hi-Shine Lip Treatment.

She also told them she uses Burt’s Bees Carrot Nutritive Day Cream even on her makeup-free days to keep her skin glowing and gorgeous.

Hilaria, maiden name Thomas, and her 54-year-old husband also took part in a charity event organised by Soulcycle to aid the victims of hurricane Sandy.

Alec and Hilaria have been active in their efforts to help the victims of the recent Superstorm, with Hilaria revealing they had been coming to the aid of their local community.

'What we did last week was everything from going grocery shopping to going and checking in on our neighbours,' she told website Wonderwall in the wake of the storm.

'Some of our neighbours are very old. They've been living in the building for 50 years. They can't get up and down the stairs. So simple things, simple but important things. But now everybody's rallying together.
