Ram Gopal Varma is a household name in the state and he made it big in Bollywood too. But people know very little about his father. RGV's father Krishnam Raju was also a film person. He worked as a sound engineer in a films' lab.

Krishnam Raju was a very straightforward person and always spoke his mind openly. He never kept anything in his mind.  He got many opportunities to watch the films under production much before anyone else as part of his work in the film labs.

He used to tell people like Akkineni Nageswara Rao whether their film was good or bad on their face. If the film was bad he used to blurt it out and say that the film is a disaster and will bomb at the box office.

Krishnam Raju was also a great human being. In his final will, he asked his sons to donate his dead body to a medical college. He said that his body should serve to the advancement of science and medicine. If it were cremated, his soul would never rest in peace.

Krishnam Raju's sons fulfilled the last wish of their father and donated the body to a medical college. Ram Gopal Varma seems to have imbibed some of the traits of his illustrious father.  He is also straight forward in his opinions.
