Aluna inspires youth to follow their dreams

Aluna Thavonesouk is providing the public with 3,000 reprints of her autobiographical pocket book after it was well-received previously.

In 2009, Aluna published 3,000 books to be promoted in Vientiane, as well as Champassak, Luang Prabang, Khammuan and Vientiane provinces.

The books were also donated to libraries in the five provinces' schools, where Aluna hopes they will bring inspiration to the students and encourage them to follow their dreams.

The book details Aluna's life and what it was like before she became famous, providing motivation to students who are beginning to develop and grow into their dreams and aspirations.

Aluna told Vientiane Times yesterday that she felt the need to inspire people and encourage them to succeed, while letting them know that it is not difficult if you are doing something you love.

Aluna said the book talked about her life and how she lived before succeeding in the Lao entertainment industry, as well as how she was giving back to the community and society.

She said that she believed every reader would get something out of the book once they had read it.

Adding that, the book was a roadmap to creating a pathway to reach their dream in the future.

“Young people have the power to create a dream and if you start taking it seriously, then success will come into your life even though the road to success is never smooth,” Aluna said.

Aluna's book was displayed at the World Population Day celebrations held at the Lao-Japan Budo Centre, where she also performed to commemorate the day.

She is now keeping herself busy composing a song to promote awareness of malnutrition, as well as preparing for the release of her new single.

Aluna urged fans to keep an eye out for her single, which is set for release in September.
