ALL IS LOST is a drama about a man who get into difficulties as he attempts to sail solo across the Indian Ocean. The film is rated 12A for one use of strong language.
The single use of strong language occurs when the man lets out an emphatic 'f**k' as he discovers the water he has on board his life raft is undrinkable.
The film contains several moments of tension, as the man's yacht sails into a storm and then sinks, leaving him stranded in a life raft. The life raft is then hit by another storm and circled by sharks. At one point, a shark pops up beside the raft, but the creature doesn't attack. At the very end, after the man has set his life raft alight in a last-ditch attempt to draw attention to himself, he is seen sinking beneath the water. However, he is finally rescued.
At one point, the man is thrown against his boat and hits his head. This results in large cut on his forehead, which he subsequently closes up with butterfly strips.
