HORRID HENRY - THE MOVIE is a British children's comedy drama in which Henry and his friends uncover a dastardly plot and fight to save their school. The film was classified 'U' for mild rude humour and very mild comic threat.
The rude humour is frequent and includes jokes about farting and 'gross-out' moments, such as a close up of a boy flicking a bogey so that it splats onto the camera. Such moments are presented in a clearly comic way, designed to delight younger viewers by being rude without being offensive.
The very mild comic threat includes Henry taking part in a TV quiz show where he risks being dropped into a tank of bubbling green gunge if he does not answer the questions correctly. There is no sense that he would be injured if this happened, so the threat is very mild. This accords with the BBFC's Guidelines at 'U' which state there may be 'Occasional mild threat or menace only'.
There is no bad language, although the kids do use made-up insults such as 'cockroach fart', 'bogey brain' and 'snot face'.
