A quartet of youngsters from Colchester United have put pen to paper on new contracts.
And pacy winger Drey Wright has also been offered a two-year deal by the U’s.
Bradley Hamilton, who made his senior debut for Colchester last month, has signed a new one-year deal.
In addition, Tosin Olufemi, goalkeeper Shaun Phillips and Ryan Melaugh have all inked new two-year contracts.
They follow hot on the heels of fellow youth-team players Freddie Ladapo and Alex Gilbey, who signed professional terms at Colchester last month.
Meanwhile, Wright, who has only just completed his first-year apprenticeship, has also been offered a new contract.
I saw Drey Wright play against Luton reserves recently and was most impressed with this young lad. Good strong boy that could keep hold of the ball and made telling passes. I had never heard or seen him play before but the first thing I done when I got home was to log his name down in my diary as one for the future. I know a good footballer when I see one.

Good luck to them all, hopefully ladapo, gets his chance next season he seems to know where the back of the net is.
