I gotta disagree with your assessment of Matthew Barefoot. 60 grade maybe, but that first name is too regular to really impress me.
that is correct, the whole 'relaxed body more likely to survive' is a tall tale
I believe it's true for things like tripping or falling down the stairs, but yeah a car accident is probably a little too dangerous for it to make a difference.
Most people seem to agree he's still got it when you're talking about a special talent, but your average MLB player (and even some above average ones) have gotten some lackluster deals with him representing them the past few years.
Magic the gathering.
New player wanting to play competitively?
A standard will set you back at least $80 for a competitive mono red or mono blue deck.
Commander, you will start out cheap but will want to bring out your deck which costs $$$
A modern deck will set you back at least $500-600 for a Burn or Elves deck.
A legacy deck will set you back $1200+ just for the land base
A vintage deck? lol more than a new car.
Holy shit, really? I might have an old magic deck from when I was a kid in a closet in my parents house. What's the difference between legacy and vintage? I actually didn't really get into it, so I don't know much about what deck I had. Would have gotten it around 97-98 though.
Just to temper your expectations, the real life-changing money cards were all printed in 93/94, so it's unlikely you're now rich. There could absolutely be cards in there worth hundreds of dollars, but a thousand dollar card is pretty unlikely. (And most of the cards from back then are worth pennies.)
I appreciate the heads up. I'm definitely not getting my hopes up too much, but if I can scrape together a little extra cash from a game I used to play as a kid, I still wanna try and take advantage!

You have to pick them up maryanne-ly
Took me a second. Well done.
I think he called it Jumbo.
And apparently that was a pretty apt nickname.
This is not a spider, nor an owl. It's an artifact of the patterns used.
Really wish people would practice just a tiny modicum of skepticism.
Thanks. I was skeptical, but too lazy to verify. I was hoping there's be a comment straightening things out.
Definitely mentioned needing a "dag" to help herd them.
That was actually his neighbour. I'm convinced they went to him afterwards because the first guy was almost completely unintelligible.
