Boundary Changes

Following the Third Periodic Review of Constituency boundaries, a new set of constituency boundaries were used for the first time at the 1983 General Election, and were subsequently used for the 1987 and 1992 General Elections

In the 1983 set of parliamentary constituencies the new constituency of Hull North is comprised of contributions from more than one pre-1983 constituency :

For the 1997 General Election a new set of parliamentary constituencies (established by the Fourth Periodic Review) was used. The constituency of 'Hull North' continued with the same name and boundaries in the new 1997 set of parliamentary constituencies (see Hull North )
