Making their collaborative return over new album ‘The Most Important Place In The World’, Wells & Moffat are back with a brand new full length exploring themes of encroaching age, domesticity versus devilry, temperance versus temptation, the metropolis as a siren. As with its predecessor, 2012 Scottish Alternative Album of the Year Award-winning ‘Everything’s Getting Older’, Moffat speaks, snarls and sings his candid tales along to jazz-inflected melodies so exquisite they barely belong to the gauche reality of the 21st century.

While bearing connections to their debut, Wells and Moffat here deploy a broader and deeper variety of sounds, touching on electro-pop, lamenting brass, and what they refer to as ‘Caledonian gospel’.

A chance to hear a candid recounting of the stories in the Tolbooth’s unique and intimate surroundings, this promises to be a memorable night.
