EventBoard Official App of Microsoft MVP Summit

Falafel Software’s mobile conference solution EventBoard, has been chosen as the official application of the Microsoft MVP Summit.

The Microsoft MVP Award is given to technical experts who actively participate in the community, sharing both their knowledge and enthusiasm for Microsoft products. For 20 years, it has remained one of the most difficult awards to earn and wearing the badge of an MVP has signified supreme technical excellence with Microsoft technologies.

Each year, every MVP from around the world is invited to Microsoft headquarters for the MVP Summit. This private event gives MVPs early and direct access to the technology pipeline at Microsoft. This year, navigating the event will be breeze thanks to Microsoft’s choice of EventBoard as the official mobile companion.

EventBoard has all the components Microsoft needed to handle their event. The application itself was developed by the Microsoft MVPs at Falafel Software and will be featured in the MVP showcase; a select group of solutions put on display for other MVPs to explore.

Like many other event solutions, EventBoard has a native iOS and Android application, but unlike most solutions there are also native Windows Phone and Windows 8 applications. All of the native applications communicate with a sophisticated Windows Azure backend.

The icing on the cake was EventBoard’s ability to integrate with the existing web based schedule builder for the MVP Summit and support a completely secure and private event. Only verified Microsoft MVPs who are attending the event in Redmond can access the MVP Summit details.
