Nick Knight, OBE

As a fashion photographer Nick Knight has worked with designers including John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford, and for magazines such as Vogue, Dazed & Confused and i-D. He founded fashion website SHOWstudio.com in 2000 with the aim of 'showing the entire creative process from conception to completion', and the site specialises in fashion film, broadcasting live from catwalk shows and fashion shoots. Knight first picked up a camera at 17 because, he says, he 'wanted to photograph girls', and he studied photography at Bournemouth University and Poole College of Art. His work has been exhibited at the V&A, Tate Modern and the Saatchi Gallery amongst others, and he has published several books of photography. He has also directed music videos for Björk, Lady Gaga and Kanye West.
