Danny Boyle

Director

A self-described spiritual atheist, film director Danny Boyle was an altar boy earmarked for the priesthood growing up. Fortunately for film lovers, he found his way onto another path. Best known for films including The Beach, 28 Days Later and Slumdog Millionaire, Boyle has directed productions for the big screen, for television and for the stage, and made his mark on British history in 2012 as the creator of the London Summer Olympics opening ceremony. Boyle has one Academy Award, two BAFTAs and a Golden Globe to his name, and 2015 saw him direct the critically-acclaimed biopic Steve Jobs. His next project will be a much-anticipated sequel to his 1996 masterpiece Trainspotting.
