The President’s Challenge is open to all kids—whether they attend a public school, a private academy, or are homeschooled by their parents or a homeschool co-op.

Homeschooled kids are able to participate in all of our challenges. There’s sure to be one that fits everyone’s needs.

Getting Started at Home

Because most homeschools don’t have on-site physical education teachers, you might want some help starting your President’s Challenge physical activity plan. Contact us and we’ll help you find schools in your area that are implementing the President’s Challenge already. That way, you can connect with a physical education teacher who can show you the ropes.

Now Available: A New Assessment from the
Presidential Youth Fitness Program

The new Presidential Youth Fitness Program (PYFP) assesses kids’ fitness as it relates to their health—instead of athletic performance. The PYFP is a voluntary program that includes an assessment, professional development, and motivational recognition to empower students to adopt and maintain an active lifestyle. The rollout of the PYFP signals a move from measuring performance (as the old President's Challenge Youth Fitness test did) to using FITNESSGRAM® as an assessment of overall health.

We want all homeschooled kids to be fit and healthy, so implement the Presidential Youth Fitness Program today!
