The 28-year-old singer-songwriter has been working on her second album over the past few years, and has started to finish up the project.
Sandé confirmed her plans to unleash her second album on the world with a series of Instagram posts this afternoon (January 4).

The British star has headed to Angelic Studios in Oxfordshire to complete the final touches of the record before its release in 2016.
She has been recording with production duo Matt Holmes and Phil Leigh.
Sandé’s debut album Our Version of Events topped the UK chart back in 2012 and went on to sell over 2.2 million copies.
It spawned the hits ‘Heaven’, ‘Next to Me’, ‘Read All About It, Pt. II’, and ‘Clown’.
According to long-time collaborator Naughty Boy, Emeli Sandé was originally supposed to release her new album before Christmas.
However, when they realised that Adele’s 25 was going to be released, they decided to push back the music until the New Year.

A few days ago David Guetta premiered the official video for his new single ‘What I Did For Love’ featuring Emeli Sande. Check out the video below:

David Guetta has premiered a new remix of his forthcoming single with Emeli Sandé exclusively on Digital Spy, the entertainment news agency reports.

The French DJ has reworked new cut ‘What I Did For Love’ himself along with Morten for a club remix of the dance anthem.

“I love this woman,” Guetta said of working with Sandé. “She is so talented and such a wonderful person.

“I have wanted to work with her for years, since she stepped in for Sia to perform ‘Titanium’ for me at the NRJ Awards a few years ago.

“We have been friends ever since, but she exploded – I had Nothing But The Beat in play and we never got the chance. Until now.

“The minute we stepped into the studio together, I knew it was worth the wait – she’s incredible.”

The original track has been lifted from Guetta’s latest album Listen, which topped the iTunes chart in 75 countries back in November.

It serves as the follow-up to previous hit singles ‘Lovers On The Sun’ and ‘Dangerous’, both of which were released in 2014.

Emeli Sandé has revealed that her second album will be out in early 2015.

The singer told Capital FM that she is “feeling quite strong” as she prepares to release the follow-up to her 2012 debut Our Version of Events.

She said of the album: “It’s going really good, really, really good. It’s feeling quite strong, so we’re just getting it finished off right now and hopefully I’ll be back in all of this pretty soon!”

Sandé’s Our Version of Events was the UK’s best-selling album of 2012, and featured hit singles ‘Heaven’, ‘Next To Me’ and ‘Clown’.

On Wednesday (November 19), it was announced that the singer will play an exclusive Christmas concert in aid of Shelter.

Sandé also features alongside the likes of One Direction, Sam Smith and Bono on Band Aid 30, which has already become the fastest-selling single of 2014 following its release on Monday.

The other day David Guetta took to Instagram to post up a photo of him with Emeli. It’s unknown whether Emeli wrote songs for his album of if her vocals are featured on a track. During this musical drought from Emeli it’s nice to see her still working so hard!
