From Mill St. Brewery:

We produce a traditional styled Irish Stout that is served using beer gas to produce that familiar creamy pour. Our black stout has a roasted malt flavour and a hint of toasted walnuts and chocolate in the finish. Select imported hops are used to dry out the finish of this ale.

Appearance | Pitch black with a massive, creamy beige head that settles after a minute or so.

Smell | Chocolate, roasted coffee, smoke, and nuts.

Taste | Smokey, woody, sweet malts, roasted nuts, and dark chocolate.

Aftertaste | Chocolate, coffee, and notes of roasted malts.

Overall | This is the first nitrogen-charged can from a Canadian craft brewery.  This type of canning process can result in a messy experience when opening the drink, it’s best to do it over the sink the first time! At 4.2%, Cobblestone is a really light stout, almost frothy in texture. Because it is so sweet and creamy, this beer is a treat, not meant to be a session beer. This stout would pair well with a chocolate cheesecake or crème brûlée.
