Speakers’ Corner provides contributors with a forum in which to share their experiences of life as a student in the current political and cultural climate. Have you been to a conference, talk, seminar or lecture that inspired you, moved you, or angered you? Have you read an article or seen a news story that you feel merits discussion? Let us know about it! We want to hear your opinions, concerns, and ideas. The blog will reflect the many ways postgraduate students participate in the academic world and beyond.

The Abstract blog is a forum to publicise and comment on papers delivered at the King’s College London postgraduate reading group, The Abstract. This takes place fortnightly in the English Department seminar room at KCL. Dates and titles for each session will appear throughout the term, and descriptions of each paper will be posted on the blog the week before the relevant session.

A platform for literary discussion, including news, reviews, commentary and opinion. The blog welcomes reader contributions and encourages engaged conversation with all aspects of literature and the literary world.

The Theatre blog provides King’s postgraduates with a forum for engagement with London’s rich theatrical culture. Encompassing reviews and general discussion, it encourages posters and readers to think about the intersections between literature and performance.

The Visual and Live Arts blog aims to reflect some of the diverse research and creative interests pursued by scholars and students within the English Department at KCL. The blog invites thinkers, makers and admirers within and beyond the department to share their experiences of gallery-based and non-gallery-based exhibitions and events.
