In a partnership with the King County Public Health Department, FamilyWorks hosts the WIC program on site on Thursdays.  Please call the North Public Health Center @ 206-263-9438 to make an appointment.

WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and children under 5 years of age eat well, learn about nutrition and stay healthy. WIC is the “Federal Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.”

WIC provides:

- Health screening
- Nutrition and health education
- Information and support for breastfeeding
- Help getting other services
- Checks for nutritious foods

Families meet by appointment with Pat Prentice, MS, RD, the WIC nutritionist at FamilyWorks in Wallingford.
