Alibaba founder Jack Ma met Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise at the Chinese premiere of Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation in Shanghai on September 6 and a bromance of sorts ensued.
"How can a man be this handsome?" Ma asked while talking about watching Cruise in the action movie. His compliments didn't stop there.
"I'm considered the most ugly and unique looking person in China," he joked amidst much applause and laughter. "That is why when I look at a handsome man, I'm always jealous," he added.
The only handsome man he's not jealous of? Tom Cruise, of course, because "he's so great."
Tom Cruise, who must be used to being called handsome all the time (though perhaps not so publicly by another man), returned the favour by saying equally nice things about the businessman. Awww...
Lastly, fans of the Mission: Impossible franchise have much to thank Jack Ma for. "I like the movies and I want to see Mission Impossible 6, 7, 8, 9, 10," Ma said. What does Tom Cruise think about that?
