One of the ways, Dalits in Maharashtra are discriminated against is by giving them separate cremation grounds. With upper castes now usurping this land in several places, clashes have been on the rise. Parbhani village in Marathwada has seen nine such incidents in the last two months. People belonging to the upper castes watch Dalits, as they take Bapusaheb Thorat's body for cremation.
