Pune launches swine flu helpline
Pune:  Five more cases of swine flu have been reported from Pune, taking the total number of the affected in the city to 28. Of these, four cases have been reported from Symbiosis School and one from New India school.

Many schools have been shut in the city due to fears of the flu spreading.

A control room and helpline will be set up in the city in view of increasing cases of swine flu, particularly among school children, according to Maharashtra Education Minister Radhakrishna Patil.

Patil, who visited the schools which have been shut down due to spread of H1N1 virus, said there was a need to create greater awareness among parents and people as closing down schools cannot be the solution to the problem.

Three schools have already closed temporarily as a precautionary measure. The total number of confirmed swine flu cases so far was put at 41 out which 29 accounted for school children.
