Masterwork Dwarf Fortress

Short summary

+100 optional Settings. Never play the same game twice.
Settings program. (GUI)


Includes stonesense, dfhack, dfFusion, stonesense and (patched) dwarf therapist.

- MORE FPS, NO CLUTTER.
- Fixes bugs and rebalances features. Weaker traps, harder farming, mining and smithing...
- Human and Elf diplomats. You can now order from caravans again...
- Trading is very important and a lot harder...
- More invaders will come. Forst Giants, Automatons, Warlocks, Orcs, Zombies...
- Adds unique stuff like guardian turrets, golems, decoys and landmines...
- Adds new weapons and armor. Guns, 2handed melee, dual wielding, throwing weapons...
- A lot of non-ingame stuff, like pre-genned worlds and embark profiles...

- A massive amount of new buildings and reactions.

- Religion, Castes, Spies and Mages.
- Gem warfare, use gems for weapons.
- 45 magic arrow types, 3 metal upgrades.
- Adds +75 buildings, +850 creatures, +150 plants, +120 trees,
+25 intruments, +85 toys, +85 food types, +75 weapons and armor,
+75 engravings, +250 pref-strings, +35 civs. All of these are optional.
- Reward system for people who explore the caverns, fight megabeasts and the HFS.

The best part ? 90% of the changes are optional. You can play however you want.

Hm. Started a new world a few releases ago, 5.0.3, I think, and currently, neither dwarf nor elven traders bring any goods for trade. They arrive with wagons and unicorns, but nothing to trade. Didn't see anything in the patch notes about it, in the new release.

Edit: v5.0.5 Seems to have corrected it. :-D

Now if only I could find out why pressure plates always say I don't have enough mechanisms (I have 53 and counting), I'd be set.

Hey Meph, I keep getting a crash to desktop on world gen, and in the rare cases I finish world gen, it crashes on starting play. Any idea why?

Please do reports like that on bay12.

And post OS, settings, version number, which worldgen, etc. Without info, I cant help.

The fix was an issue on my end with my hardware. I had it throttled too low on the processor list so it'd run out of power and crash.

Also, any plans to update to 40.X?

Hey Meph, I've been playing your modpack since before Orcs were a playable race, and I just wanted to let you how much I've enjoyed it. At the time I had tried vanilla and a couple mods, and then I found Masterwork. This is the only way I've played Dwarf Fortress since. Keep up the good work! :-D

Iv'e tried for a very long time to download it, but all it says is "Incorrect command line." I have the 7z file opener program, but it didnt help. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When i try to play through the Masterwork Application i get the following message(Unable to find and load file paths. Masterwork settings requires Dwarf Fortress to be installed in the same directory!)

I want to download this awesome mod BUT IT WONT LET ME ITS SO DUMB >:( this mod looks really cool and i really wanna play it but its not letting me and i dont know what to do :-(
