FT Island′s Latest Japanese Album Tops Charts
FT Island’s new album ranked second on the Oricon chart.
According to the largest Japanese music chart Oricon Style, the group’s Japanese 6th full-length album N.W.U, which released on April 6, ranked second on the Oricon daily album chart. Also, the album ranked first on the world chart of the largest Japanese record store, Tower Record, HMV Asia daily chart and K-pop chart of famous Japanese sound sources, Dwango. The group proved its popularity by sweeping various music charts.
Therefore, the group completely placed itself as a famous rock band other than just a Hallyu (Korean wave) star by consistently entering stably into Oricon Top 3 with its locally released albums.
The name of the group’s album N.W.U is made with the first character of three Japanese words, ′Cry′, ′Laugh′ and ′Sing′. It means the album is containing the group’s shared emotion. The group’s member Lee Hong Gi participated in writing the lyrics of the title song You Don′t Know Who I Am and all members also participated in all 11 tracks included in the album and revealed their own color.
Meanwhile, F.T. Island will hold the premium release event to celebrate its album release on April 26 in Osaka and April 28 in Tokyo. Moreover, the group will start its arena tour ‘FTISLAND Arena Tour 2016 - Law of FTISLAND : N.W.U’ and meet its fans on April 27 at Osaka-Jo Hall, on April 28 and 29 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and on May 20 at Nagoya Gaishi Hall.
