Scott Nimerfro, ‘Hannibal’ and ‘Once Upon a Time’ Producer, Dies at 54

Nimerfro also worked on Bryan Singer‘s “X-Men” in 2000

Scott Nimerfro, writer and producer of shows including “Hannibal” and “Once Upon a Time,” has died. He was 54.

“Hannibal” showrunner Bryan Fuller revealed the news via Twitter on Monday, writing, “RIP @ScottNimerfro beloved #Hannibal writers of blood eagles and mushroom corpses freaking out squares in next life.”

Adam Horowitz, the creator of “Once Upon a Time,” also paid tribute on Twitter, calling Nimerfro a “true talent.”

Nimerfro recently announced he had been diagnosed with angiosarcoma, a cancer that attacks the inner lining of the blood vessels.

Nimerfro’s last credit includes the March 6 episode of “Once Upon a Time.” His other credits include producer on Bryan Singer‘s “X-Men” (2000), a production assistant on “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” and a producer on the TV series, “Pushing Daisies.”
