Steelback Brewery: An Open Apology From Frank D'Angelo to Toronto Argos Fans

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 1, 2007) - A short three years ago we at Steelback Brewery decided to assemble a band with some of the top musicians in Canada to raise money for charities. We named it Frank D'Angelo and the Steelback 2-4 band. To date the band has played at dozens of charitable venues, opened for a long list of high profile performers at a variety of concerts and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for breast cancer research through the release of four singles and an album. The Steelback 2-4 band has also performed the Canadian national anthem at several Toronto Argonauts games to many cheers from the audience. Last week, however when the band took the stage on July 26th during the Toronto Argonauts versus Montreal Alouettes game, Argos fans unfortunately did not agree with the band's performance of that evening.

The Steelback 2-4 band appeared on stage that evening in an effort to promote and raise money for breast cancer research, which was the theme of the night. As well, breast cancer survivors performed the coin toss and pink ribbons along with the Steelback 2-4 CD "You gotta believe to believe" were being sold during the game with proceeds going towards breast cancer research. At the end of the evening we sold almost 400 CDs and close to $4,000 was raised for the cause.

In terms of my band's performance, I think they did a great job as they always do. They are respected professional musicians in every sense and they should be proud of their accomplishments and I apologize to them if my personal performance of July 26th was sub par. I would also like to apologize to all my fellow Canadians, all the Argos fans and the Toronto Argonauts organization if my personal performance that evening was not to their expectations.

I further want thank the Toronto Argonauts organization for all the work they do in our community and for helping to raise money for charitable organizations such as they did that evening.

Sincerely,

Frank D'Angelo
