We’ve definitely had our fair share of memorable test drives here at Made Man.

But there hasn’t been one more serene than our recent getaway to Kona, Hawaii to experience the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder.

In fact, it very well could be one of our most breathtaking drives to date, which led us to dig up a few of our favorite quotes when collecting our thoughts on the new roadster.

Powerful take: While still true to the car’s rich lineage, the new Boxster Spyder is far more striking than the previous model. Credit a lot of that appeal to features like the unique streamliners and other design cues inspired by great Porsche roadsters of the ’60s.

Powerful take: Equipped with a 375-horsepower six-cylinder engine, the new Boxster Spyder suffers no shortage of power. The 2016 model actually ranks as the most powerful Boxster ever built, with an exhaust note to match.

Powerful take: Among all the new features on the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder, one of the most alluring is the new optional Spyder Classic package. Powerful take: The Boxster Spyder has a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.3 seconds and a top track speed of 180 mph. The roadster’s handling and cornering capabilities, however, are even more addictive than its speed.

Powerful take: The more seat time you get with this ride, the more addictive the roadster becomes as a driver and as a passenger. But make no mistake about it, this is a driver’s car in every sense of the word.
