Merry Christmas! Good To Be Alive.

Have-a-wonderful-christmas-2012-timeline-cover-photo-for-facebook1It has been quite a while since I last posted here on my blog. But I just cannot contain this great feeling that the Christmas spirit brings. It may not be the same for everyone out there especially if you are going through something at the moment or perhaps you just can’t find any reason to celebrate at all.

I feel you! I can remember well that there were some years too that that I didn’t feel this good as today. I mean, it is never the same always. I had my highs and lows.

I cannot figure out the difference between the past Christmases from today, but I tell you – “That things don’t stay for long. Everything shall pass.  Good or bad, they will always have a season and a reason. ”

Sad news and experiences are there for a reason. Its purpose may not be clear at a certain point in time, but again they are not there forever. Sometimes good feelings come from the decision to choose to be happy and let go of what it is that binds us from bringing bright colours into our life. And that is what I am doing now… Thus, I wanna share this song from Meghan Trainor – “Good To Be Alive”.

My favourite lines from the lyrics of this song are:

  • I know you’ll wake up one day and say
Damn, I got things to do
Damn, I got mountains to move
And it ain’t about how sad it could be
It’s about how good it should be
  • Gonna wake up every day like it’s Christmas
Gonna celebrate this life I’m given
  • Put your hands up if you’re ready to have some fun
Oh, it feels so good to be alive
  • Gonna tell my mother every day I love her
And tell her “thanks for being such a good mother”
    From now on

So without holding you for long, here is the video lyrics of it. Enjoy!

Once again, Happy Christmas everyone! XOXO

Living in the Moment

The week has ended, yet a new week is beginning. So to start it off positively, Here is another song that helps to keep us away from depression as we are reminded to just live daily in every moment without worrying about the past and the future. After all, life is a daily adventure. They said, “we Learn from Yesterday, we Hope for Tomorrow, but we need to Live for Today“. It is by then that we fill our past with good memories and our future worth looking forward to.

So, without delay, here is the song by Jason Mraz entitled “Living In the Moment”:

Take Life One Step At A Time

It’s singing time again here at Love Letters and Thoughts! We wish to share another inspirational song here with you…One that will remind us “to take one step at a time” and let stress and anxiety plummet down. What is best with the future is it comes one day at a time. According to Kody Kiplinger – “You can’t control everything. Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out. Let go a little and just let life happen.” Isn’t this consoling? So, without much delay, herewith is a song entitled – One Step At A Time by Jordin Sparks. I personally love the lines – “We live and we learn…Everything’s gonna happen when it’s supposed to happen and we find the reasons why…One step at a time!” Truly a great song! Happy Singing!

Leave The Past, Today Life Begins

Herewith is another inspirational song that reminds us to make the best of today. As the saying goes “Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a Gift, that’s why we call it Present.” Today is indeed a gift as we are given the chance to make beautiful tomorrows. “The Past is behind, there is nothing we can do about it, so Learn from it; The Future is ahead, Prepare for it; The Present is here, Live it.

Below are the lyrics to the song “Today My Life Begins” by Bruno Mars. Make time to empower yourself and let go of all your inhibitions and worries. I know this will strike a chord in you. Enjoy!

I Will Stand By You

When you’re tired, weary and feeling all alone, remember there is always someone out there that cares for you. Sometimes, we get too overwhelmed with our ordeals that we forget to see and appreciate the people around us – our partner, friend, family, nurse, caregiver, therapist, and even our online chat mate. For sure, there is always somebody we might just failed to notice but who has always been there for us no matter what we go through.

So today’s post, I’m sharing with you another inspirational song titled “I Will Stand By You” by Marlisa Punzalan that reminds us not only of the people who have always been there for us but most especially of Someone Up There who will always say these exact lines in the song for you:

Feel Good, Freedom Song

Sharing with you now another inspirational song that will just make you feel good no matter what state of emotions you have at the moment. This song describes perfectly a picture of some of our dreams. According to the book, The Secretif we want to realise our aspirations, we start by imagining, having detailed descriptions of it and feeling it. This way, the seemingly distant goal come close to us in time and Faith will lead the way.

So, come and relax as we jam along Jason Mraz’s – “Freedom Song”.

Below are lyrics to the song. You can copy and paste it to a document or simply print this page. I’m sure enough that this will keep your inspirations on fire. Continue reading

Thoughts on Life’s Mystery

chest-pain

I’m having some chest pains a couple of days lately. I don’t know why but I guess some eating habits of mine need to change. Feeling this, suddenly thoughts about death and leaving my two small daughters behind is making me sad and a lot fearful. How I pray that my time has not yet come. I am not afraid of death itself though, but I don’t think I will be happy in my second life not being able to take good care of my daughters.

Now as I write, my thoughts shift to those people suffering some kind of pain from any type of illness, trauma or accident. For sure, their head is also full of questions, anxiety and worry. Thoughts like what will happen next, when will the pain end, will there be solutions, what were the causes and most especially how will this affect my loved ones. Continue reading

Life is Hard but Easy for a Child

be a child image

“Mama, I know you’re sad with what happened. Don’t be! I already forgive him!”

My heart is in rage as I found out that my daughter has been bullied in school. It’s something that all parents don’t want their children to experience.

Why Do We Envy Others?

jealous envy

Lately, as I bring my child to school and attend various activities of them where parents are welcome to join in, I feel a certain ill feeling of jealousy over other kids receiving certain weekly awards while my daughter hasn’t. I don’t know why at first, until I tried to talk it through myself about it and discovered how wounded am I about school recognitions and how my mother’s negative reinforcement or motivation fuelled it in me. Only Few Friends are for Lifetime

My feeling now is better than when I was writing my last blog post – “Don’t Forget To Say I Love You“. My husband is recovering fast and thank God for the gift of friends and pals “online” who are able to journey with us in this ordeal.

Wait what? — “Online” friends? Yes, you have read it right! Continue reading

Don’t Forget To Say “I Love You”

man in hospital bed

What is it like to lose a loved one? I don’t wanna know.

Minutes from now, my husband is about to undergo an open surgery in his abdomen. It is his first time to be going through a major operation with general anaesthesia. Anxiety and fear are slowly getting into my nerves. Worry is making my head heavy. I don’t think no one will ever be ready for anything like this no matter how learned a person might be. Negative thoughts are creeping in. Continue reading
