A man was found stabbed to death early Thursday near San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza.

Officers arrived at Larkin and McAllister streets just before 2 a.m. and found the deceased victim, described as in his late 20s or early 30s. The man, whose name was not released, had been stabbed in the upper torso, said Officer Carlos Manfredi, a San Francisco Police Department spokesman.

Police released few details about the investigation. No arrests have been made, and officials did not immediately provide a suspect description.
