Trump and Hitler Sittin’ in the Tree…

I hate it when people compare popular social foes to Adolf Hitler. However, when the comparison’s valid in so many ways, nothing hits home better. Obviously, I’m not saying that Trump is similar to pre-World-War-2 Hitler in every way, but definitely in some notable ways.

What About Ectopic Pregnancy?
Many sincere advocates of life fall prey to the argument that abortion is occasionally necessary to save the life of the mother. An example of an ectopic pregnancy is often given. However, a cursory investigation of the evidence reveals that many babies have survived ectopic pregnancies. There are life-saving alternatives to treat the mother and her ectopically-implanted baby. Successful transplantation of the embryo from the fallopian tube to the uterus has been reported in the medical literature as far back as 1917. We do not have to kill these babies to save the mother. Their cases is not hopeless.

The Ten Most Common Gun Control Soundbites Refuted

1. Guns kill.
Response: I hope so, in case someone ever brandishes a weapon shouting Allah Akbar in a crowded theater or office party and I get to set my sites on him. I'm not conceal-carrying all these years to hurt terrorist's feelings.
2. Mentally ill people can get guns.
Response: Which is why only a mentally ill person wouldn't want one.
3. Gun shows provide loopholes around federal law.
Response: Federal law inconveniences the law-abiding, and does not protect the public from guns in the hands of the lawless, who by definition are law-breaking. Moreover, when federal leaders violate the Constitution to which they take an oath, they become law-breakers and their mandates lawless and not binding.
4. People can shoot themselves by accident.
Response: My cousin shot himself in the foot once. But he also shot the burglar that was breaking into his house, so it was worth it.
5. There are less gun crimes in nations with less guns.
Response: There's less blacks in Scandinavia, but that's not an argument against blacks. Murderers and rapists use weapons that are available, and so must citizens. In our country, however, almost all mass murders take place in gun-free zones, like public schools and government buildings, in cities like Baltimore and states like California. A gun-free zone or a city with strict gun control is the safest place to murder people. The more guns there are in a state or community, statistically, the less crime there is (More Guns Less Crime, by John Lott).
6. Our inner cities are places of violence and murder, thanks to guns.
Response: Thanks to gun control, which disarms the victims and emboldens criminals.
7. Assault weapons have no sporting value.
Response: Which is why we need to be proficient with assault weapons, to defend against assault weapons in the hands of unsportsmanlike criminals and terrorists.
8. Guns are for the police and military.
Response: And a well-armed police state is more needful where the victims are disarmed by strict gun control. People who sacrifice liberty for a little security deserve neither liberty nor security.
9. The 2nd Amendment says, "A well-armed militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." That refers to the National Guard, not individuals.
Response: You misquoted it. "The right OF THE PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The signers of the Constitution universally considered any able bodied man to be a part of the militia. A police state and soldiers in our streets don't provide for the security of a free people - armed citizens do.
10. I thought Jesus said to turn the other cheek.
Response: When you're slapped, be my guest. But Jesus also said to sell something to purchase a weapon (Luke 22:37-38). "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."

(Pic of Elizabeth shooting my concealed carry weapon of choice - Kahr 9 mm, which I carry in a calf holster or pocket holster. She keeps hers in a zipper pocket of her purse. We prefer handguns instead of revolvers, as handguns have the extra safety of keeping your chamber empty, and not being able to shoot the weapon unless you chamber a round.)

(Above is a poster my 9-year-old Elijah held, "photo-bombing" an otherwise tender moment for some homosexuals in front of the Rowan County Courthouse during Kim Davis' trial.)

There's a problem with the Kentucky governor's accommodation for religious conservatives like County Clerk of Courts Kim Davis. He's the first Republican governor in Kentucky for fifty years, and he claims his victory is in large part due to his support for Kim Davis, who was jailed for five days for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. He comes out this week claiming that he is going to remove the name of the clerk of court from off all marriage licenses, so that religious opponents to same sex marriage like Kim Davis can abide by their conscience and not sign marriage forms to those unqualified.

Sounds like a victory for religious conservatives, eh? Don’t cheer too soon.

The problem with this is that supporting Kim Davis is the most pathetic of all options for the Kentucky Governor! Why isn't he issuing an order EVERY Kentucky clerks to refuse to issue marriage licenses to unqualified applicants? Why isn't he issuing an order for EVERY clerk to uphold the Kentucky Constitution, which says marriage shall ONLY be between a man and a woman? Why isn't he protecting Kentucky, and Kentucky law? Why isn't he protecting marriage?

Now, he creates a manner whereby wickedness can be facilitated and the law violated by another means.

When an atomic bomb is about to go off in the city and you have the know-how to disarm it, now's not the time to give water to a thirsty child.

Be on guard, my fellow religious conservatives, when leaders talk about protecting "religious liberty". When the nation's going to hell in a handbasket through taxpayer-subsidized sodomy and child sacrifice, our efforts to create means whereby the wicked can offend God without offending our fragile consciences - that's a recipe that hastens judgment, instead of abating it.

This is a letter I sent to 24 pro-life groups and leaders tonight. Help us spread the word that ectopically-implanted babies do not have to die to save the mother's life. The mother's life and the baby's life can both be saved by well-documented medical procedures.

My wife is pregnant with my tenth child, and I’ve been reminiscing how blessed we are. It’s not often parents go into double digits.

When my wife and I married, we decided we wanted as many children as the Lord would give us (reserving the right to change our mind, of course.) However, in the 17 years we have been married, it has never occurred to me even for a moment that we should stop having kids. They are our greatest blessings in life, and our greatest enjoyments.

These are my Ten Commandments for Training Children.

1. Be Proactive

“Train up a child in the way he should go,” Proverbs 22 teaches. Good training isn’t primarily reactive, it’s proactive. What kind of horse-trainer would wait for a horse to disobey and then respond accordingly? The horse-trainer, through positive and negative reinforcement, trains away the little episodes of disobedience, making it unlikely to buck or kick the rider later. We should be proactive to teach obedience to our children in the small things, and not wait for disobedience to train.

Did God just set Adam and Eve in the Garden and leave them to themselves? No – He issued a just commandment, “Don’t eat of this tree,” and prescribed an appropriate penalty, “in the day that you eat thereof you will surely die.” He wasn’t reactive, he was proactive. He daily fellowshipped with them, perhaps reminding them and encouraging them, giving them reasons to obey. When they sinned, He was kept His word.

You don’t have to wait until your child grows up to train. The “terrible two’s” are a product of waiting too long to train. You can teach them the meaning of “Yes” and “No” and train them to submit to your authority long before they can intellectually grasp the concepts, long before their consciences are even functioning.

Be proactive. Don’t child-proof your home. Home-proof your children. Don’t wait for a temper-tantrum. Set one up, and train them to obey cheerfully and quickly. You’re stronger than them. You’re smarter than them. Act like it.

“Judicial supremacy” is what Mike Huckabee called “the greatest heresy of our day.” It is the belief that Congress, the president, and the states have a duty to obey whatever nutty, lawless decision the Supreme Court hands down. As of September 24, 2015, Mike Huckabee is the only presidential candidate who insists he will not comply with the Supreme Court’s unlawful, unconstitutional rulings, but will be duty-bound to defy them. Cruz, Carson, Carly, Christie, and all of the other Republican presidential candidates harbor the belief that the judiciary is supreme and its every decision binding.

Watch Huckabee defend the president’s duty to disregard lawless Supreme Court opinion here.

Kentucky Clerk of Courts Kim Davis was locked away in jail without bail by U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning. She was only released after hundreds of Christians rallied at the jail for her release, and dozens descended upon the judge’s neighborhood distributing leaflets and holding signs and banners, calling upon the sheriff to arrest the judge and liberate this law-abiding Christian woman. Her crime, according to Judge Bunning? Enforcing heretofore unamended Kentucky law and the Kentucky Constitution and disregarding the Supreme Court’s lawless attempt to overthrow it.

There are sinister forces behind Judge Bunning’s persecution of Kim Davis, but to exposed these forces and prove to you that they are at the heart of this increasingly public contention, let me first demonstrate what the issue is not about.

It is not about the people of Kentucky.

As his justification for incarcerating Kim Davis, Judge Bunning cites the Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision, wherein the Supreme Court declared same-sex marriage a constitutional right. This decision grievously overrules the will of the people of Kentucky. Indeed...
