This is a Sylva Striker, powered by a Yamaha R1 motorcycle engine, which I bought from Richard Miles (who built it) on 2nd February 2004. The following information is shamelessly stolen from his website, although I've updated it slightly:

Lightweight chassis with independent rear suspension. Braced FIA roll bar. Sylva fabricated engine mounts to suit R1 engine and front chassis cross-brace.

Clear gel lightweight bodywork professionally sprayed in MG Trophy Blue pearlescent. Rear wheel arches extended 50mm. Rear lights and number plate fenched in.

Yamaha YZF-R1 engine. 2000 model year. 280 miles on the clock when fitted. Baffled sump. Shortened carb bellmouths. TTS rejet kit. YEC race clutch spring. Pipercross PX600 airfilter. 146rwhp (172bhp crank estimate) and 80lb ft on the dyno.

Nitron NTX dampers front and rear. Nitron 130lb springs.

Competition Fabrications custom built stainless steel 4-2-1 manifold with standard Yamaha YZF-R1 titanium silencer. 104dB static at 7500rpm, 1/2m.

Yamaha YZF-R1 radiator and fuel pump. Yuasa 12AH bike battery. Samco hoses throughout.

Bailey Morris 2-piece prop with centre bearing, Torque Resilient Tube and slider in rear section. Fisher Sportscars forged steel propshaft adapter. Custom made aluminium centre bearing mount. Sierra 3.38:1 diff. Custom made lightweight halfshafts with lightweight tripod joints.

Fisher Sportscars Escort mkII pattern billet alloy front hubs.

Hispec 278mm x 9mm solid disks on alloy bells with Ultralight 4-piston calipers on front. Ford Sierra 253mm x 10mm disks on rear. Ford Sierra rear calipers. Sylva twin cylinder balance bar setup with two 5/8" master cylinders and remote adjuster. Goodridge stainless braided hoses.

2.2 turns lock to lock TAS Kwikrack. Alloy solid rack mounts.

6 gallon aluminium fuel tank. Mocal Aero fuel filler. Rollover breather valve.

13"x6.5" and 13"x8.5" Caterham SLR 3-piece rims with 205/60R13 and 185/60R13 Yokohama A048 tyres.

Tillet seats in 1/2 covered carbon fibre.

ETB Instruments Digidash. Oil pressure and temperature. Water temperature. Fuel level. Datalogging and laptiming. FIA battery isolator. Starter button. IP67 splashproof switchgear.

Hella LED Rear lights. Cibie Oscar H4 headlights. Carbon fibre Caterham indicator mounts. Carbon fibre rear arch protectors.

Momo formula 26 suede steering wheel with quick release hub. Momo gearknob.

Carbon fibre racetech F1 wing mirrors and rear view mirror.

Genuine 390kg dry. 420kg with all fluids and a full tank of fuel at SVA. Estimated 430kg with current tyres.

440bhp/ton. 0-60 in 3.4s. 0-100 in 8.4s. Top Speed 130mph.

SVA'd and Registered as a new vehicle in March 2003 on an "03" plate.
