Trump joins other infamous dictators in this comedy deck of playing cards, highlighting the dangers of poor leadership.
Über dieses Projekt
Donald Trump says the only card Hillary Clinton has is the woman's card. We want to know what card Donald has up his sleeve to play? The answer...the Trump Card!
With the booming successful of 'The Woman Card' project, we thought it was only fitting to have a deck of cards that encapsulates what Donald stands for...inappropriate racist view points and a misguided sense of morality that may very well distance America from moving forward with the rest of the world.
Through this set of playing cards, we aim to raise awareness of the effect unjust, unethical and corrupt leadership can have on a country. At the same time you'll have an amusing deck of cards, that poke fun at these leaders and politicians that can be used with friends and family for adding some laughs to your games.
The first-edition of the deck will feature thirteen of the most infamous world leaders in the last century, some past and some present. The leaders will have a common theme of either being racist, corrupt, genocidal, guilty of war crimes or leading a repressive regime.
The below mock ups are just our initial concepts for some of the cards. We have created a shortlist of professional artists and are in discussions to finalize who will draw the illustrations. We'll share the artists details and examples of their previous works via this campaign as soon as possible.
Ace: Donald Trump
King: Kim Jong Eun (North Korea)
Saddam Hussein (Iraq)
Back of the Playing Cards
Is it fair for Trump to be in the same list of dictators?
In an editorial in The Washington Post, a Harvard professor compared the surprise rise of the billionaire business mogul to Adolf Hitler seizing power in Germany. "I have spent my life perplexed about exactly how Hitler could have come to power in Germany," she said. "Watching Donald Trump's rise, I now understand."
To test that theory, a YouTube comedian approached Trump supporters in the street and read quotes to them which they were told originally came from Donald Trump — they actually came from Hitler. The quotes elicited strangely positive responses.
After seeing the above youtube video Adolf Hitler have to clear his name as he hates being compared to Donald Trump
Maybe its not fair for for Donald to be on the same list right now, but give him a term in office and who knows what will happen!
The World Leaders
Ace: Donald Trump is an American businessman, politician, television personality, author, and the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for President of the United States in the 2016 election. He also is the most outrageous, sexist, and opinionated man in the US today. Whilst be claims 'not to have a racist bone in his body' his actions say otherwise, as excellently described in this Huffington Post article. His policies are extreme to say the least, including building a wall to stop Mexican's entering the country, and a 'total and complete shut down on Muslims entering the US'. Wiki link.
King: Kim Jong Eun. Kim Jong Un’s reign over North Korea may be still in its relative infancy, but he’s quickly racking up a reputation not unlike his father, Kim Jong Il. Not only does he look ridiculous, he seems to have inherited his father’s reputation for being a terrible human being. Human rights violations continue to happen all over North Korea, and Jong Un decided to add his own flair to his reign by engaging in some world leader trash talk using nuclear weapon threats. Wiki link.
Queen: Adolf Hitler needs no introduction as he was famous for being the leader of the Nazis – a German party that was responsible for the deaths of over 17 million people including 6 million Jews and after leading the entire world into war as well as committing numerous war crimes. Wiki link.
Jack: Saddam Hussein instituted mass genocide against the Kurds, Shabaks, Assyrians, Mandeans and other ethnic groups who rebelled against his leadership and fought several wars against Iran and Kuwait, with the death toll climbing to about 2 million in total. Wiki link.
Ten: Josef Stalin became the leader of Soviet Union in 1924, and launched government programs that would make the country more progressive. He led Russia to the starvation of nearly 10 million people. With many intellectuals and activists not in favor of his leadership, Stalin also launched the “Great Purge”, killing every person who opposed him and his ideals. Wiki link.
Nine: Mao Zedong, famous for being one of the communist leaders of the Republic of China beginning around World War II, Mao Zedong was a ruler who thirsted for power. In his first five years, he killed about 4 to 6 million by indiscriminately sentencing them to death. His policies also starved about 20 million and on top of that he had numerous enemies of the state executed. Wiki link.
Eight: Bashar Al-Assad, current dictator of Syria. After taking over the presidency from his horrible father in 2000, Bashar decided to take after his father and set events in motion that would lead to the Syrian Civil War. Bashar’s regime is characterized with use of excessive brutal force to quell any protests, extreme racial and religious insensitivity, and a penchant for war crimes. Over 10,000 Syrian civilians have been killed in 2015 alone, over two hundred thousand have died in the civil war, and millions have fled from their homes and into Europe.Wiki link.
Seven: Omar al-Bashir became President of Sudan in 1989. His reign in power started with a Sudanese Civil War which lasted twenty two years and caused the death of millions through warfare, drought, and famine. Next there was the racially-charged genocide where hundreds of thousands were killed. Finally, there’s Omar’s brutal reign over the Sudanese people in which he abolished the Legislative Assembly, banned political parties and trade unions, banned freedom of speech, and issued out purges and executions. Wiki link.
Six: Pol Pot , was the communist leader of Cambodia and had envisioned a country that would be equal by any means. So he came up with a policy of sending city people to the farms and the farm people to the city. As expected, he did not get the results he wanted so he then resorted to punishing people and depriving them of their right to education, medication, and nutrition. He even executed about 2.5 million who were not following his ideals. Wiki link.
Five: Vladimir Putin, current president of Russia. In 2014 Putin was named the Person of the Year by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), an award given annually to the person who does the most to enable and promote organized criminal activity. Putin has turned Russia into a major money-laundering center; he is enabling organized crime, and he is advancing a government policy of working with and using crime groups as a component of state policy.Wiki link.
Four: King Mswati III, The Playboy King. King of Swaziland’s ruling ‘absolute monarch’. After inheriting the crown at age 14, he proceeded to live a lavish lifestyle whilst his country is gripped with poverty; he has resisted democratic reforms and subjected Swaziland to a violent and repressed regime; and he has let Swaziland become the country with the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world. Oh, and he is also a fan of polygamy, marrying 14 women, most of whom were under-aged when he married them. Wiki link.
Three: Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe is said to have risen to power via electoral deception and fear-mongering. There was even one election where he did not receive any votes in a certain province so he orchestrated the killing of over 20,000 civilians by fabricating stories of rebellion and treason. During his time in office over 3.1 million Zimbabweans lost their homes, jobs, and livelihood due to his “land reform program” aka bulldozing any village that voiced their opinion. Wiki link.
Two: Kim Jong-Il, recently deceased leader of North Korea had nearly a quarter million people arrested during his rule and is directly responsible for the starvation and deaths of million of North Koreans. Wiki link.
