In honor of National One-Hit Wonder Day, it feels like my civic duty to pay homage to the girl groups that skyrocketed to the top of the charts only to never be heard from again — or at least plummet into obscurity, forever relegated to “what-ever-happened-to…?” trivia, random club dates or totally different careers after their initial bout with fame.
Remember Dream? t.a.T.u.? They all gave us the precious gift of songs we’ll forever hold in our hearts — and program into karaoke systems from now until eternity.
