Grizzly bear orphan plays with man
five videos of bears who just want cuddles

When naturalist and host of Nat Geo WILD Casey Anderson saved grizzly bear Brutus from captivity 10 years ago, it was the first step on a lifelong path of rescuing and rehabilitating grizzlies across the country.

One of the latest bears Anderson has helped is Bella, an orphaned cub from Alaska and newest resident at the Montana Grizzly Encounter Rescue and Educational Sanctuary in Bozeman, Montana.

In a video shared on YouTube, Anderson plays with Bella like any proud dad would with their new baby girl – tickling her, playing with her feet and even a game of "I've got your toes".

Filmed for the documentary Man and Grizzly Bear - Rewriting History, the footage of Bella is unquestionably cute if maybe a little disconcerting. Maybe because it's easy to forget that Bella is in fact a wild animal and not just a particularly hirsute child.
