Halo Wars 2 will be Playable at E3 2016

Microsoft has confirmed that not only will Halo Wars 2 be at E3 2016, but that it will also be playable.

E3 2016 is almost upon us, and Microsoft is gearing up with some big games. One of those games has been confirmed to be Halo Wars 2, an RTS game for Xbox One and Windows 10. Halo Wars 2 was announced at Gamescom 2015 with a fancy CG trailer, and that’s been it. Microsoft and Creative Assembly have not talked about the game since then. However, we’ll finally get to see the game in just a few weeks.

Community manager Andy Dudynsky confirmed on Halo Waypoint that the game will indeed be at E3 2016. The reveal was tucked away at the very top of the Hog Wild Req Drop update. He also teased something else, but declined to say anymore.

“The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable. There’s also – well, I can’t talk about more just yet.”

Halo Wars 2 is the sequel to the 2009 original, and is being developed by Creative Assembly. The team has enormous experience developing RTS games thanks to their work on the Total War franchise. E3 2016 takes place June 14-June 16 with Microsoft holding their press conference on June 13 at 9:30am PST.
