The set of UK constituencies in use during the period from May 1997 to the May 2010 UK General Election were laid down by the the Fourth Periodic Review of parliamentary constituency boundaries (conducted during the mid 1990s). These constituencies were used for the May 1997, June 2001, and May 2005 UK General Elections.. The constituency of 'Lichfield' was a completely new constituency at the 1997 General Election. The electorate covered by the new constituency of 'Lichfield' comprises electorates from the following former constituencies:
