Grammy winner Christina Aguilera will be popping up a lot in the coming months, with a doll hitting toy stores and her first headlining tour making the rounds.
The singer will kick off her tour this summer, with state fair dates slated to begin in mid-July and a full-production tour of 35 to 40 dates scheduled for a mid-August start.
Aguilera is already in toy stores across America, in doll form at least. The star has spawned a singing Christina Aguilera collectors’ doll. With a push of the navel, the mini-Christina belts out her hit “Genie In A Bottle.” A fashion Christina doll (complete with the blue fringe halter and orange track pants seen in the “Genie” video) is also now in stores, and a talking Christina doll arrives next month.
As for the full-sized Aguilera, the singer’s still-untitled Spanish language album is set to drop this June and will include “en espaƱol” versions of hits such as “Genie In A Bottle” and “I Turn To You.” The album will also carry
a duet with a major, but still top secret, Spanish artist.
