Elected to take on the role of 5A Group Treasurer in 2012, Paul has an MA, M.Sc(Econ) and works as a Trust and Estate Practitioner. His background is in market analysis with a management consultancy. He also has experience working for the British government on overseas development.
In the late 1960s, Paul was a member of the planning committee of the Severn Valley Railway before regular services commenced, and from 1979-85 was secretary of the Barry Steam Locomotive Action Group and 'Barry Rescue'.
He is currently a trustee of the B17 Steam Locomotive Trust and involved in a group to create a LNWR George the Fifth suitable for operation in the 21st century.
