The Bangladesh National Model United Nations (BANMUN) Conference 2013 was jointly organised by United Nations Youth and Student Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) and Notre Dame College, with the theme of Sustainable Development in South Asia.  The first model UN conference for young diplomats from secondary and higher secondary level students of Bangladesh was held at Notre Dame College and UNIC Auditorium, Dhaka, from October 25-27 

 

After winning a national championship and finishing runners-up in two major national competitions, the IUB Debate Club recently took off to Malaysia to participate in the ‘Geomatika’ Inter-Varsity Debating Championship held by Geomatika College International in Kuala Lumpur. The team consisted of Christopher Sangma and Omar Nafiz, representing Bangladesh, facing off against 24 of Malaysia’s elite universities including International Islamic University Malaysia, University Technology Mara, Sunway University and University of Malaysia. Christopher Sangma was awarded the immensely prestigious title of 3rd best speaker of the tournament.
