We believe anybody can do anything. We also believe people should give to other people. I am designing an open source ARM board that anyone can build, remix, use, build a remixed version, post, mass produce, and use as inspiration (for sure). It doesn't matter if you are not the same. It matters if you make the world never the same again. Even if you are the misfit, the needle in a haystack, change the world.
Steve Jobs said: "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."
Take this as inspiration, as a basis for a project, or anything.
I am trying to implement a Linux-compatible open source hardware ARM board. My mom will collaborate, supervise, and help with the project. I will make the project, test it, debug it, fix errors, rinse and repeat. I cannot afford a prototype, and am not done with the files. If the project is successful, I will release the files somewhere, probably GitHub. Anyone can fork the project, and start a new remix. I hope to inspire others as I was inspired.
This wouldn't be possible without my sister Hannah, my mom, and my dad.
The funds will be used for R&D of a prototype.
Also, a CAD model photo of the main components besides the connectors is shown at:
The model was made with KiCad.
This board has many purposes; it can be used in IoT projects, smartphones, computers, routers, anything!
Designing this circuit board, is very challenging. I am not close to done. However, I will try my hardest to complete this. I have never done something this big before. But, if you believe you can achieve, you will achieve.
I have created a computer, crafted things with woodworking tools, and coded multiple programs. Sufficient knowledge is available to complete this task.
