THANK YOU TO OUR 2015 BENEFIT SPONSORS!

2015 debra Benefit Sponsors

The 17th Annual debra of America Benefit presented by Mölnlycke Health Care on November 16, 2015 was a truly memorable evening. debra of America celebrated 35 years of supporting the EB Community, and we did it in style at the world-renowned Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Our sincere gratitude to Julie Kent and her ABT colleagues and of course Kate Nash for providing incredible entertainment for our 400 guests!

The evening of honors and celebrations featured an exclusive performance by iconic former American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Principal Dancer, Julie Kent, along with other professional dancers. Kent is the only American ballerina to have won the acclaimed Prix Benois de la Danse. This premiere event also included a cocktail and hors d'oeuvre reception by Restaurant Associates in Frank Lloyd Wright's famed Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Rotunda, a 100-item silent auction, and a DJ set by platinum-selling and chart-topping singer/songwriter Kate Nash.

Partners In Progress Award winner Phil Silvestri from Havas Worldwide Tonic premiered three of our television commercials for the attendees. These are powerful commercials that 20 million people will now see, bringing the idea of raising awareness to new heights.

A very special thank you to John F. Crowley, our Corporate Hero Award recipient, for his incredibly generous $100,000 gift!

We want to congratulate our 2015 award winners, John F. Crowley (Corporate Hero Award), Julie Kent & William Barbee (EB Awareness Award), Phil Silvestri (Partners In Progress Award), Ariana Covarrubias (The Spirit Award), and Arlene Pessar (Inaugural Founder's Award).

Proceeds from the 17th Annual debra of America Benefit went directly to supporting people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a painful, often fatal, and always debilitating rare genetic disease that affects 1 out of every 20,000 births in the United States. Those born with EB are often known as "Butterfly Children" for their extremely fragile skin.
