Joe walsh.JPGJoe Walsh, a former Congressman, sent out a series of controversial tweets in the wake of the shooting deaths of four Dallas police officers.

A former Illinois Congressman turned  talk show host has set off a firestorm with an incendiary tweet in the wake of the shooting deaths of four Dallas Police Officers during a Black Lives Matter protest Thursday night.

Joe Walsh, who served in Congress from 2011-2013 and now hosts a conservative talk radio show, fired off a series of tweets after four police officers were killed and as many as 10 others injured when a gunman or gunmen opened fire during a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest as it made its way through downtown Dallas.

One of the early tweets said:

"This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you."
