In April Sigma Beauty sent me a package containing their new Brow Goals collection, and in April it arrived here in Gothenburg. Did FedEx give me a notice? Sure didn’t. But this week they did!! They have had it since mid April because “they didn’t have my phone number”. Lololol sure thing FedEx. Oh well, it finally made its way to me and I’m so excited about what’s inside!
Worth mentioning, Sigma is one of the first beauty brands out there to get that social media overhype (just like Natasha Denona, Violet Voss, Morphe and all those brands we see today) and since they first launched they have gone from scratchy shedding animal hair brushes to actually revamping their whole brush line to Sigmatech, their own form synthetic hair that is cut and shaped in multiple styles to simulates animal hair! It’s so much like natural bristles I have never seen anything like it, so impressed with them choosing to do this! Good job.
All products mentioned in this post can be bought straight from the Sigma Beauty webshop.
Sigma Beauty Brow Goals collection contains brow powders, pencils, powder highlighters, pencil highlighter, a wax pencil, two eyeliners and some tools that I’m showing further down.
Sigma Beauty Brow Powder Duo in Light, Medium, Dark. There is also an Auburn shade available. These are soft eyebrow powders that naturally define and intensify your brows, can be worn alone or applied over a pencil.
Sigma Beauty Brow Powder Duo in Light, Medium, Dark. These brow powders are phenomenal! They are so velvety and fluffy, and they still don’t give off too much colour. Don’t get me wrong, pigmentation is nice and even (as you can see) but it’s sheer enough to not create harsh lines in your brows. Really great shade-wise aswell, the almost entirely greyed out taupe shade in the Light duo is so genial! Overall I would say go for Light if you want something really cool toned, Medium has a slight golden tinge in both shades, and Dark has one of each.
Sigma Beauty Brow Pencil in Clean Cut, Dressed Up, Elevate, Top Shelf. A brow pencil that was created to match most hair tones (neutral ones that is..) and to give a natural finish.
Sigma Beauty Brow Pencil in Clean Cut, Dressed Up, Elevate, Top Shelf. I often find it hard to use brow pencils because they are either so dry they just pat on my brow hairs or they’re too soft and smudge all over. These grip on and give good colour payoff but still almost apply feeling like a powder. Great formula! The existing shades are good, they have different depths and undertones (Clean Cut = golden caramel, Dressed Up = natural auburn, Elevate = chocolate brown, Top Shelf = dark and ashy) without any of them pulling orange, I just would have wanted to see a shade similar to the lightest one but much ashier, for you icy blondes out there!
Sigma Beauty Brow Wax and Brow Highlighting Pencil. The wax is a clear pencil to set your brows with (which is clear so no swatch, plus dislike these pencils so I’m skipping it), the higlighting pencil is a duo with a matte pale pink and a shimmery gold to apply under the brow for a highlighting effect.
Sigma Beauty Brow Highlighting Pencil. I don’t get this one, the pink is pigmented but oooh so clumpy, and the gold is very.. glittery. The people who are fair enough for the pink are too fair for the gold and the other way around, if the gold works on your skin the pink will probably look whitened and ashy. Nope nope nope, not impressed.
Sigma Beauty Brow Highlight Duo in (clockwise) Well Lit, Ray Of Light, Goddess Glow, Bring To Light. A powder duo that you can use to sharpen and highlight under the brows. In each duo you get a matte and a shimmer.
Sigma Beauty Brow Highlight Duo in Well Lit, Ray Of Light. Well Lit has a matte baby pink and a shimmery cool toned peach, Ray Of Light a matte warm toned off white and a shimmery champagne gold. All four of these duos have immaculate formulas, you can see how pigmented the mattes are! The shimmers are super glowy and not for the faint of heart, great as eyeshadow or cheek highlights aswell! But maybe too few shimmery options to work well on fair skin?
Sigma Beauty Brow Highlight Duo in Goddess Glow, Bring To Light. Goddess Glow has a matte coral (beautiful blush shade on fair skin) and a copper shimmer, Bring To Light has a matte medium peach and a shimmery equivalent. Same thing with these as I said under the last picture apart from the Goddess Glow shimmer having a slightly grittier shimmer than the others.
Sigma Beauty Standout Eyes Gel Eye Liner in Liberally Toasted, Stunningly Ladylike. These versatile gel eyeliners are smudge proof and opaque with a smooth finish.
Sigma Beauty Standout Eyes Gel Eye Liner in Liberally Toasted, Stunningly Ladylike. Liberally Toasted is a neutral medium brown leaning a bit golden, I love how light it actually is, it is very clearly brown and not just “off black” on the eyes! I’ve been looking for something like this. Stunningly Ladylike is just that dark brown that we tend to see in liners, not as impressive shade-wise but still very useful when you want to soften the look of your eyeliner. The formula on these is very matte and more like a cream formula than gel in my opinion. They need no layering at all on the eyes though, the application is super even.
Sigma Beauty E80 Brow And Lash, E75 Angled Brow, E06 Winged Liner, E71 Highlight Diffuser. These brushes are sold both separately and as a set. The E80 is just a basic spoolie with a fancy handle, you can buy packs of dispostable spoolies for nothing on Ebay and they work exactly the same. The other three are interesting though! E75 is a sharp little angled brush, too sharp and tiny for my taste when it comes to brows but I imagine many people would like it. E06 is THE tiniest little angled brush I’ve ever seen, PERFECT for gel liner. Revolutionary! This is the one to get. E71 is a slanted brush with a flat surface, a interesting way of applying brow highlighters without fluffing them into the eyebrows. I don’t think it’s the most necessary brush out there though.
Now, let’s demo!
Plain canvas! Wearing tinted moisturizer, under eye concealer and some powder.
Brow Highlight Duo in Bring To Light as a soft shimmery brow+inner corner+cheekbone highlight, matte shade on the eyelid. Standout Eyes Gel Eye Liner in Liberally Toasted as my eyeliner and smudged along the lower lashlines. Brow Pencil in Elevate to define the outer part of the brow, Brow Powder in Light to deepen the inner corner of the brow.
