Background Attack Aftermath Evidence Misinformation Analysis Memorial

The Crash of Flight 93

Crashing Plane Leaves Debris Field Miles Wide

Flight 93 dove into the ground in a near vertical trajectory with such speed (500 mph according to reports) that it created a crater 30 feet deep. Popular Mechanics would have us believe that the 3-ton engine part "bounced" 300 yards from the crater upon impact.

According to the official story Flight 93 crashed after four passengers attacked the hijackers in an attempt to gain control of the airplane. Witnesses describe the plane plunging from the sky at a steep angle.

For a plane that flew into the ground, Flight 93 left a rather widespread debris field. Investigators found a second debris field three miles away from the main crash site at Indian Lake, and a third debris field in New Baltimore, eight miles away. 1   NTSB officials suggested that the debris at these distant locations blew there in the wind after the crash, but eyewitnesses at Indian Lake saw the debris falling out of the sky, like confetti. One of the engines was 600 feet from the main debris field by some accounts and a mile by others. 2

The eyewitness accounts are consistent with a missile strike and not with a plane being flown into the ground. It is also interesting that NORAD and the 9/11 Commission insist the crash was at 10:03, contrary to the evidence that it was at 10:06.

Jet-Crash-Proof Bandana

This photograph shows one of the exhibits used in the 2006 trial of Zaccharias Moussai. It bears the label:
Exh. GX-PA00111
Red bandana recovered from the United Airlines Flight 93 crash site

The trial of Zacarias Moussaoui in 2006 resulted in the release of a large number of trial exhibits. 3   One was an unblemished bandanna in a ziplock bag, which, according to the caption on the website of the The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press listing the exhibits, was recovered from Flight 93's crash site. As photographs of the primary crash site show, the plane buried itself in a crater 10 feet deep, leaving no recognizable debris beyond scraps of charred aluminum. Yet this bandana miraculously survived the crash without so much as a blemish.

Perhaps the jet-crash-proof bandana is made from the same material as the jet-crash-proof passport that emerged from the fiery crash of Flight 11 into the North Tower. We shouldn't be too surprised that the suicide hijackers had access to undreamt-of materials technologies, given their ability to achieve air supremacy over America's trillion-dollar military.
