Business facilities and networks

The University has a number of specialist business facilities and networks which the business community can use to access particular expertise and to link with other entrepreneurs and innovators.

Below is a list of some of these facilities and networks. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

Bangor University Business Club Bangor University Business Club is FREE to join and is open to anyone involved in the business and academic arenas and offers the perfect opportunity for people, organisations and businesses of all kinds to meet, share ideas and discuss the issues of the day.
Bangor University Conference Services Bangor University Conference Services support for booking and delivering a range of functions and events at the University such as residential conferences, day meetings, training away days, lectures, product launches, drinks receptions, exhibitions or award ceremonies.
BioComposites Centre BioComposites Centre (BC) undertakes collaborative research projects to develop sustainable biobased technologies that will minimise the impact of materials on the environment, working with Large Multinationals, SME’s, Micro Companies and Research Institutes interested in lowering their Global Warming Potential (GWP). A core skill in the Centre is the translation of applied Science into Commercial opportunities and the Centre has unique facilities that enable it to take an idea from bench to pilot scale.
M SPARC Menai Science Park (M-SParc), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bangor University, aims to develop a Science Park to drive growth in knowledge based science in North West Wales, with a focus on sustainable energy and technology. The Park will contribute to the Welsh Government’s Innovation Strategy, as well as contributing to the growth of region’s economy by providing competitive wages and promoting growth in industry in those sectors related to energy, ICT, environmental services, clean technology enterprises and natural products including life sciences.
Pontio Pontio is the University’s new iconic Arts and Innovation Centre providing an important new gateway for the businesses community to access the expertise and facilities available at the University. In particular the innovation space in Pontio will deliver a unique mixture of facilities and skills designed to encourage companies to develop new ideas and bring them to market.
SEACAMS SEACAMS (Sustainable Expansion of the Applied Costal and Marine Sectors) in Wales seeks to integrate research and business opportunities around the coast of Wales and offers assistance and access to facilities (from offshore research vessels to laboratories and aquaria) to marine and costal businesses.
Management Centre The Management Centre is a residential training, conference and events centre in the heart of Bangor University campus. The Centre offers a range of flexible meeting and conference rooms available for hire. It also offers an informal place for businesses to meet and come together at many of our food and drink outlets. The Management Centre also offers 4* graded accommodation which is available to everyone.
