After a pause, rain to return today
TNN | Aug 6, 2016, 08.15 AM ISTNew Delhi: After a brief lull, the next spell of rain is expected to start over Delhi from Saturday .
Met officials said that moderate to heavy rain is likely over isolated parts of the city and its neighbouring areas on Monday and Tuesday .
"Rainfall activity is likely to increase over Delhi and its neighbouring areas from Sunday . Light rainfall or drizzle will occur at many places bet ween Sunday and Wednesday , with light to moderate rain (2cm to 6cm) at a few places between Monday to Wednesday . Heavy rainfall (more than 7cm) is also likely at isolated places during the same period," said an official of the Regional Meteorological Centre, New Delhi.
The maximum temperature on Friday went up to 36.7 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, while the minimum was 28.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
