Disabilities

The University and College regularly support students with disabilities, long term health conditions or specific learning difficulties.

We strongly encourage you to register and discuss your individual situation with the University’s Disability Advisory Service (DAS) as soon as possible so that you can benefit more quickly from any available support. The DAS provides a wide range of information and advice, and can also assist with organising disability related support.

Once registered with the DAS, they will contact the College to pass on any relevant information (as per your approval) so that we are better placed to offer assistance. You are also welcome to contact the College directly with any queries or information.

The following College staff members oversee and coordinate provision for disabled students at Wolfson:

Disability Lead: Senior Tutor (Gillian Hamnett)

Disability Coordinator: Academic Registrar (Kate Gear)

The University’s Disability Common Framework statement sets out the guiding principles that underpin the procedures for supporting disabled students at Oxford.

Alternative Examination Arrangements

If you wish to apply for alternative examination arrangements, we strongly recommend that you do so as soon as possible. The DAS can advise on applications for alternative arrangements related to a disability. If you would like to apply for alternative arrangements due to an injury or illness, please contact the Academic Registrar.

Details on possible examination provision may be found on the University website
