Calgary Liberal MLA calls on province to investigate CDI College

The province is being called on to investigate an Alberta college after nursing students claimed they were given colouring books in place of learning materials, and encouraged to watch Netflix and hold wheelchair races during class time.

The students from CDI College's Edmonton South Campus went forward with their claims earlier this month, and Calgary MLA Kent Hehr said he's been in discussions with those making the allegations.

“The students haven’t done anything wrong,” Hehr said in a statement Thursday. "They applied for programs which promised to train and prepare them for the workforce. Instead, they’ve taken on thousands of dollars in debt for sub-par educations while the government looks the other way.”
