Game of Thrones star Clive Russell is coming to Hollyoaks.
Clive, who played the Blackfish (aka Ser Brynden Tully) in the popular HBO fantasy series, will play a similarly troubled character in the Channel 4 soap, having bagged the role of Jack Osborne's ex-con brother Billy Brody.
Billy is the imprisoned father of village newcomer Eva Falco (Kerry Bennett) – Jack's detective niece – who will first appear on the show next month.
Arriving on screens in September, Billy is set to make a large impact on the Osborne family, as he reveals a deadly secret to his daughter Eva sparking a dangerous set of events... which sounds awesome, but maybe not as awesome as our HUGE Hollyoaks autumn spoiler reveal.
"I have had some great days filming with Hollyoaks," said Clive, who also had high praise for Jimmy McKenna, who plays Jack.
"Working with the legend that is La McKenna was also a delight. He is a wonderful actor and man. Along with Kerry Bennett – my on-screen daughter – I just had a ball!"
Clive has had a successful career in TV and film, starring in both the Thor series and Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes movies.
He's also got previous soap and serial drama form, with past roles in The Bill, Holby City and Casualty.
Clive appeared as the Blackfish in two series of Game of Thrones (and was one of the only Northerners to escape the Red Wedding alive), before his character appeared to meet an untimely end in the penultimate episode of the fantasy drama's sixth season.
Hollyoaks airs at 6.30pm every weekday on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing Monday to Friday at 7pm on E4.
