NEW BLITZKRIEG: US GENERALS SPOKE ABOUT A FUTURE WAR AGAINST RUSSIA AND CHINA

US generals have said that a future war against Russia and China will be quick and lead to numerous victims.

These estimates were made at the annual conference of the Association of the US Army in Washington, DC, reports The Independent.

According to the newspaper, at the event, held on the 4th of October, the head of the United States Army Staff Mark A. Milley expressed the view that future large-scale war are "almost inevitable".

In turn, Major General William Hicks noted that "any conflict in the near future with the use of conventional arms will flow very quickly and lead to enormous sacrifices." "We can not stop it at will," - he added.

US prepared ‘to fight’ in Russia, China missile defense zones – Naval ops chief

The US Navy is seemingly ready to conduct operations in areas regarded as no-go missile areas, said the US Chief of Naval Operations. Such defense missile zones can be found at Russia’s and China’s coastlines.

This was announced by Admiral John Richardson during remarks made at the US Naval Institute – CSIS Maritime Security Dialogue.

He said that from now on the US Navy is “scaling down” the term ‘A2/AD’ (anti-access/area denial) from its communications.

Earlier, these areas were viewed as “an impenetrable keep out zone that forces can only enter at extreme peril to their existence, let alone their mission,” Richardson wrote in an article for the National Interest outlet.

“It’s a term bandied about pretty freely and lacks the precise definition it probably would benefit from, and that ambiguity sends a variety of signals,” he said on Tuesday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Directed against China: New Site for U.S. THAAD Missile Deployment in South Korea

The public’s security worries and doubts over the guarantee provided by the US are out of historic backgrounds and reality considerations. Trapping in the whirlpool of the peninsula tension, ROK would be the direct victim with a total turn in its destiny once the situation lost control.

What’s worse, the remote US is by no means reliable helper. In recent years, in order to expand its hegemony, the superpower has fallen into a breaker of international law. Employing a “puppet” strategy, it repeatedly threw other countries or regions into disarray and then escaped unscathed.

China will never change its stance of opposing the deployment of the THAAD system since the missile shield, instead of easing regional tension, will pose serious threat to the strategic security balance of regional nations including China.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The implementation of the THAAD system cannot possibly ratchet down tensions here; in fact, the impending implementation of the system seems to have been engineered to do just the opposite.

Pentagon Announces “Third Phase” of Military Build-Up Against China. U.S. Economic Hegemony under TPP Supported by Military Might

US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter announced last Thursday a further dramatic expansion of the Pentagon’s “rebalance” or “pivot” to the Asia Pacific that will only heighten the already tense military confrontation with China in the region. He insisted that the Asia Pacific was “the single most consequential region for America’s future.”

Speaking on board the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson in San Diego, Carter outlined what he called the “third phase” of the US military build-up and the strengthening of a “principled and inclusive security network” in Asia. While claiming that Beijing was not excluded from the “network,” every aspect of the “third phase” is aimed at preparing for a war with China.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to Sec Def Carter; isn't TPP officially "dead" in Congress, and unlike Frankenstein, unlikely to be revived?!?

Sec Def Carter, I would like to politely remind you that Obama cannot approve this through executive order; it has to be approved by Congress, and Congress is not moving in this direction at all.

And also, sir, just in case you missed the memo, the TPP, in its current configuration, allows countries where major corporations use slave labor as a matter of course to compete with the US: please tell me that you do not believe for one moment, that this is really "fair trade"?!?

As reported at infowars.com last year:

OBAMA TO EXPAND MODERN-DAY SLAVE TRADE WITH TPP

In the body of this article, is reported the following:

"And it’s unlikely Thailand’s billion-dollar slave industry would prevent it from joining the TPP considering that Obama previously removed an anti-slavery provision from the TPP and also allowed Vietnam to join the partnership despite its flourishing slave trade.

“For… 16 hours, No. 31 and his wife stood in the factory that owned them with their aching hands in ice water,” the AP revealed. “They ripped the guts, heads, tails and shells off shrimp bound for overseas markets, including grocery stores and all-you-can-eat buffets across the United States.”
“After being sold to the Gig Peeling Factory, they were at the mercy of their Thai bosses, trapped with nearly 100 other Burmese migrants.”
It was only in Oct. that the Obama administration invited Thailiand to join the TPP “with open arms.”

“The United States ‘would welcome with open arms’ Thailand’s ruling junta wanting the country to participate in the U.S.-led Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact without waiting for the return of a full democratic government to the country, the newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Thailand said,” the Bangkok Post reported."

So what now, Sec Def Carter?!? Is the alleged "land of the free and the home of the brave" going to re-embrace slave labor here at home, in order to compete?!?

Sir, I would seriously doubt that Americans would put up with such nonsense for a millisecond.

The Eurasian Century is Now Unstoppable

The idiotic wars of the Washington war-hawks and their military industry–in Syria, in Ukraine, Libya, Iraq and now the South China Sea provocations against China–are not going to stop what is now clearly the most impressive and economically altering project in more than a century.

The term “American Century” was triumphantly proclaimed in a famous editorial in Life magazine in 1941 in the early phase of World War II, before the United States had even entered the war, to describe the system publisher Henry Luce saw dominating the postwar world after the fall of the rival British Empire.

With each and every additional single day of this mindless bloodshed, the world watches and wonders why it is being allowed to continue.

China set to export corn, threatening global market: sources

China has given approval to at least two companies to export corn, trading sources said, in a radical move by the world's No. 2 producer to cut its ballooning surplus and unleash more supply into a saturated global market.

Donald Trump Is Right: America’s Infrastructure Is Falling Apart

The amount of money that the US Transportation takes in ever year, particularly within the Tri-State Area, is truly staggering – some would argue that is in the trillions of dollars per year with the obscene amount of tolls, taxes (federal state and local) as well as the other methods of raising revenue that should be earmarked for American infrastructure – the ultimate question is where the hell is all of this money going?

The Chinese Bearing Gifts in American Wrapping: A Solution to Australia’s Dilemma?

The New Asian Perspectives Blog has already featured an article dedicated to the tensions in Australia–China relations caused by the blocking of investments in strategic agricultural and electric power grid assets for national security concerns. It seems that the sides have already found a compromise following a tough conversation between Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping: Chinese companies won a participatory interest in a 50-year lease on the Port of Melbourne; not directly, however, but under the cover of an American infrastructure fund. The Port of Melbourne has become the third largest port in Australian, in which Chinese companies have acquired a long-term lease.

China flies military planes over strait near Japan

China has sent fighter planes for the first time over a strait near Japan, the two governments said Monday, after Tokyo announced it may patrol alongside the US in the disputed South China Sea.

More than 40 Chinese military aircraft on Sunday traversed the Miyako Strait between Japan’s Miyako and Okinawa Islands, to carry out training in the West Pacific, according to a statement on China’s defense ministry website.

The Sukhoi Su-30 fighters, bombers and refueling aircraft did not violate Japanese airspace.

Japan’s defense ministry said it was the first time Chinese fighters had passed over the strait.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is not going to ratchet down tensions in the South China Sea area one whit; it appears that the Chinese military is playing "picador" with Japan here, and this is only going to escalate tensions in the region.

An Obsolescent Military: Bombing Everything, Gaining Nothing

What, precisely, is the US military for, and what, precisely, can it do? In practical terms, how powerful is it? On paper, it is formidable, huge, with carrier battle groups, advanced technology, remarkable submarines, satellites, and so on. What does this translate to?

The American military is an upgraded World War II military, designed to fight other militaries like itself in a world like that which existed during World War II. The Soviet Union was that kind of military. Today there are no such militaries for America to fight. We are not in the same world. Washington seems not to have noticed.

China begins operating world's largest radio telescope

The world's largest radio telescope began searching for signals from stars and galaxies and, perhaps, extraterrestrial life Sunday in a project demonstrating China's rising ambitions in space and its pursuit of international scientific prestige.

Measuring 500 meters in diameter, the radio telescope is nestled in a natural basin within a stunning landscape of lush green karst formations in southern Guizhou province. It took five years and $180 million to complete and surpasses that of the 300-meter Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, a dish used in research on stars that led to a Nobel Prize.

Did the Pentagon Bomb Syrian Army to Kill Ceasefire Deal?

The US has officially taken responsibility for the incident which it called a “mistake”...

A rift between the Pentagon and the White House turned into open rebellion on Saturday when two US F-16s and two A-10 warplanes bombed Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions at Deir al-Zor killing at least 62 Syrian regulars and wounding 100 others.

Many analysts now wonder whether the attacks are an indication that the neocon-strewn DOD is actively engaged in sabotaging President Obama’s Syria policy, a claim that implies that the Pentagon is led by anti-democratic rebels who reject the Constitutional authority of the civilian leadership. Saturday’s bloodletting strongly suggests that a mutiny is brewing at the War Department.

America in Asia: Arrogant, Unapologetic, and Ready for More Conflict

The US, by presuming to dictate all that takes place across Asia, has all but declared itself a hegemon.

Reiterating the notion of American primacy and exceptionalism is a full-time occupation for the US State Department’s employees. This includes US Ambassador to ASEAN Nina Hachigian who pointed out to followers on Twitter that she had “spoke to some Lao shop owners” following US President Barack Obama’s recent visit to the Southeast Asian nation, and “they said [President Obama’s] visit was the most exciting and significant event in decades.”

Of course, for the nation of Laos, the most significant event regarding the US is undoubtedly the 2 million tons of munitions the US dumped on it between 1964 and 1973. These 2 million tons include cluster bombs consisting of some 266 million submunitions, an estimated 30% of which were left unexploded and remain to this day an enduring, deadly hazard to Laos and its 6.8 million people.

THE BANK FOR INTERNATIONAL SETTLEMENTS WARNS THAT A MAJOR DEBT MELTDOWN IN CHINA IS IMMINENT

The pinnacle of the global financial system is warning that conditions are right for a “full-blown banking crisis” in China. Since the last financial crisis, there has been a credit boom in China that is really unprecedented in world history. At this point the total value of all outstanding loans in China has hit a grand total of more than 28 trillion dollars. That is essentially equivalent to the commercial banking systems of the United States and Japan combined. While it is true that government debt is under control in China, corporate debt is now 171 percent of GDP, and it is only a matter of time before that debt bubble horribly bursts. The situation in China has already grown so dire that the Bank for International Settlements is sounding the alarm…

Normally the Bank for International Settlements is not prone to making extremely bold pronouncements, and so this warning about China seems a bit out of character.

The Threat of World War III: The Great Unmentionable in the 2016 Campaign

The most important issue in the US presidential election is the one neither of the two main capitalist candidates, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump, is talking about: the increasing likelihood that the next US president will order direct military action against Russia, China or North Korea, all countries that possess nuclear weapons.

The mounting danger of such a war was underscored by the US bombing of a Syrian government military post on Saturday, killing dozens of Syrian army soldiers. The US claim that this was done accidentally—against a major, well-known Syrian military installation, the Deir ez-Zor Air Base—has no credibility. A similar US “mistake” could easily lead to the death of Russian soldiers and escalate into a full-scale military confrontation between the two powers that control 93 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

On his last paragraph, the writer is absolutely dead wrong; it was Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2008 where those rumors originated.

Of the two candidates, at this moment, Clinton seems the more war-centric, particularly against Iran, and Trump appears to want to ratchet down tensions with (at least) Russia, and perhaps Korea and China as well.

I am not exceptionally "giddy with joy" concerning the choices US voters have in our Presidential election; but right now, I am very much edging toward Trump, because he is a businessman, and is not part of the DC establishment.

I frankly think our country needs that right now.

And although I do want to see a woman president of this country, and soon, that woman most fit to run this country is not Hillary Clinton; she comes with more moral, financial, and emotional "baggage" than does Kim Kardashian on a photo shoot!!

China has claimed about 'uselessness' of sanctions against North Korea and its readiness to block such decision of the UN Security Council. The Chinese Foreifn Minister Wang Yi 'condemned' nuclear testings of North Korea at the talks with his colleague from Japan. According to him, such acts of North Korea should be opposed in the framework of the UN, however he warned the colleague not to demand 'useless' sanctions in the Security Council. According to him, the initiative 'will hardly be backed' by China. Here's What Moscow Plans to Do About North Korea's Nuclear Ambitions

Pyongyang has managed to tick off even China, which had always been a natural ally to North Korea in the past, the journalist emphasized. "Beijing had good communication with Kim Jong-un's father, and restrained Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions. But Kim Jong-un has managed to significantly complicate relations not only with world powers, but also with their closest neighbor."

In this regard, it's notable, according to the journalist, that Kim has never made an official visit to China, or even met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. "Russia and China are the only two countries that continue to engage in dialog with Pyongyang. The recent nuclear test in the peninsula has complicated the already delicate regional balance. Everyone understands that a war on the Korean peninsula would have far-reaching and unpredictable consequences."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why the leadership from China, South Korea, Japan, and the US need to meet, and develop a peaceful plan for de-escalating the military situation in South Korea, in return for North Korea stopping their development of nuclear weapons.

Sanctions and further Western "male attributes waving", through a show of military force against North Korea will only further exacerbate the situation.

China on Wednesday warned Taiwan not to allow exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama to visit, after a high-profile Taiwan legislator invited him to the self-ruled island Beijing claims as its own, a trip that would worsen already poor ties.

China regards the 80-year-old monk as a separatist. Taiwan's former president, Ma Ying-jeou, who favored close economic ties with China, refused the Dalai Lama entry several times after his last visit to Taiwan in 2009.

On that occasion, Ma allowed him in but did not meet him.

Taiwan's new president, Tsai Ing-wen, elected in January, has not said whether the government would allow a visit by the Dalai Lama, who congratulated Tsai on her "remarkable" victory.

Freddy Lim, one of Taiwan's most famous heavy-metal singers and an outspoken critic of Beijing, who was elected to parliament in January, invited the Dalai Lama when he met him in India last week.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That this 80 year old, slight, gentle monk is still such a thorn in China's side suggests to me that all is not well with China's governance in Tibet.

Now the Saudis Have Killer Drones, Too

Saudi Arabia is the world’s newest drone power. And that could be a problem, since the Saudis are in the midst of a rather nasty war.
Riyadh has signed a contract with Chinese firm Chengdu for an unspecified number of Pterodactyl drones, Saudi media reported in late August and early September.

The 30-foot-long, propeller-driven Pterodactyl, which Chengdu apparently modeled on America’s iconic Predator and Reaper drones, can fly for hours at a time carrying cameras and missiles. Operators on the ground control the unmanned aerial vehicle via satellite.

As far as killer drones go, the Pterodactyl probably isn’t terribly sophisticated—its sensors are certainly less capable than U.S.-made models—and that can mean the difference between life and death for innocent people caught in the crossfire as flying robots hunt militants on the ground.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These are going to kill hundreds to thousands more innocent Yemenites.

But hey, when it comes to weapons manufacturers, their products, and profits, to paraphrase Gertrude Stein, "A deal is a deal is a deal!!"

Tiangong-2 Launch Live Stream: Watch China’s Space Lab Take Off

On Thursday night, China will send its second Earth-orbiting satellite laboratory into space. Tiangong-2 will take off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the country’s northwest Gansu province nine seconds after 10:04 p.m. local time (10:04 a.m. EDT).

The announcement of the exact time was made Wednesday by China Spaceflight on its Twitter page. A live stream of the event is also available on Weibo, China’s own Twitter-like microblogging website.

The space lab being launched Thursday makes improvements over its predecessor, Tiangong-1. According to CCTV America, the U.S. arm of the Chinese state broadcaster, some of these include the ability for astronauts to stay onboard for up to 30 days, refueling of propellant while in orbit, and a range of new experiments. A cold atom space clock that measures time with the estimated precision of more than a trillionth of a second will also be in the lab.

Australia’s Dilemma: the Chinese Bearing Gifts

Tensions in Australian-Chinese relations spread gloom over developments in the past week. At the Group of Twenty summit in Hangzhou, Chinese President Xi Jinping reproached Malcolm Turnbull for hindering Chinese investment in Australia. At the same time, Labor Senator Sam Dastyari was forced to resign from the opposition’s Shadow Cabinet following a controversy over the payment of his expenses by Chinese organizations. The “New Asian perspectives” blog regards this turbulence as the price Canberra has to pay for its strategy of maneuvering between Beijing and Washington. Australia started its “pivot to Asia/to the East” (although, formally to the North, in the country’s case) a few decades ago, when, on the one hand, it lost its privileged access to the UK market after the United Kingdom’s accession to the then EEC, and on the other hand – began to clearly realize its role in the economically dynamic Asia-Pacific region.

China's Upping the Ante in the South China Sea

The Joint Sea-2016 intervenes just after a quite significant holding hand moment last week in Laos. Hand holders were no less than China’s premier Li Keqiang and Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte, a.k.a. The Punisher, clad for a change in full suit and tie regalia. There were good reasons for such camaraderie. After all China and ASEAN had just agreed that the framework for a legally binding code of conduct in the South China Sea will be in effect before the end of the year. Singapore lobbied “vigorously” for this key development. Beijing regards Singapore as “a key partner for cooperation in the region”, as Li told Xinhua. The Punisher’s own press secretary, Martin Andanar, squared the circle; “Our president also expressed his approval of having a framework for a code of conduct.” The setting — Laos — could not be more strategically appropriate for China.

China calls Washington ‘cause & crux’ of N. Korean nuclear issue as US flies bombers over peninsula

Beijing has blamed Washington for exacerbating the “vicious circle” of tensions on the Korean Peninsula after the US pinned the responsibility for Pyongyang’s nuclear test last week on China’s alleged lack of effort to resolve the North Korean nuclear crisis.

On Friday North Korea made headlines after conducting its fifth nuclear test. The 10 kiloton explosion set off an artificial earthquake and an avalanche of international responses condemning the test.

While Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for a more “creative” response to the situation rather than issuing endless rounds of sanctions, US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter over the weekend blamed China for its failure to curb the North Korean threat.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to Ash Carter: what the US government keeps doing is exacerbating tensions in the region, to "egg" Kim Jong Un to more heights of brinkmanship.

And Lavrov is absolutely correct when he suggests ".. a more creative response to the situation."

And Sec Def Carter, what about a 4 way meeting with delegates from the US, North and South Korea, and China to hammer out a peace treaty, with which to replace the armistice, which is simply a cessation of fighting, under which North and South Korea have been living, since the 50s?!?

If there would be a way to guarantee that North Korea could be dissuaded from further developing its nuclear capabilities, that would be a peace treaty with guarantees about trade, and cessation of sanctions against it.

Or, sir, are you ruling it out, because it is....the most logical answer to the problem, and doesn't offer a pretext for a "back door" war against China?!?

The following was reported at sputniknews.com today:

US Nuclear Capable bombers Fly over South Korea to Warn Pyongyang

Sec Def Carter, I can assure you; this is not going to help ratchet down tensions here in the least.

In fact, this is the kind of provocation which is going to push North Korea toward more nuclear testing, which the US government - and China - appear, collectively impotent to stop.

Duterte wants U.S. troops out of southern Philippines

U.S. forces advising the Philippine military against an Islamic insurgency are doing more harm than good and must leave, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday.

Duterte, who made international headlines last week by crudely insulting President Obama, said white Westerners are an inviting target for kidnap-for-ransom groups such as the militant Abu Sayyaf in the southern Philippines. Duterte blamed his government's ties to the West — and a grisly U.S. military operation that targeted Muslims more than 100 years ago — for fueling much of the unrest centered in the Mindanao island group.

”I do not want a rift with America, but they have to go," Duterte, who is from the Mindanao region, said during a speech in Manila. "Americans, they (insurgents) will really kill them."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Obama just lost his back door to war with China!

China is Building a New Financial System To Replace US Leadership

During the first Annual Summit organized by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, China has shown her intention to take over the global leadership in infrastructure investment. By the end of this year, AIIB would have more than 100 members, making it the first lending institution in multilateral loans in history, under the control of the most important emerging countries. It is expected that China will eventually drop the dollar, as it is the only way to break away from US hegemony in international finance. China is already ahead of the US in the race of financing infrastructure at the global level. International Finance is going through transformation, in spite of the strong resistance by the powerful American controlling power. Last year, high officials from Washington had tried to sabotage the launch of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank – AIIB, but failed to do so...

China keeps grip on South China Sea with patrols from Sansha outpost driving off hundreds of foreign ships

China’s outpost of Sansha in the South China Sea has sent vessels to drive away at least 370 foreign ships from disputed waters in the area in recent years, according to an article penned by its mayor, Xiao Jie.
The patrols were carried out from Sansha, a prefecture-level city set up four years ago to administer the Spratly Islands, Paracel Islands and the Macclesfield Bank, called the Zongsha Islands by China. They have patrolled 324 times over 46,000 nautical miles in what is called a “five in one mechanism to safeguard China’s maritime rights”, referring to a combination of forces of the Communist Party, government, military, police and civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And this is a problem because.......?!?

China has historical rights to these islands; the decision against China by the International Tribune at the Hague (where it absolutely has no jurisdiction) was a complete joke, and was simply a political mechanism for the US government to use, ultimately, which which to justify military attacks against it.

Pentagon And CIA at War in Syria

What a mess! In the crazy Syrian war, US-backed and armed groups are fighting other US-backed rebel groups. How can this be?

It is so because the Obama White House had stirred up war in Syria but then lost control of the process. When the US has a strong president, he can usually keep the military and intelligence agencies on a tight leash.
But the Obama administration has had a weak secretary of defense and a bunch of lady strategists who are the worst military commanders since Louis XV, who put his mistress, Madame de Pompadour, in charge of French military forces during the Seven Year’s War.

As a result, the two arms of offensive US strategic power, the Pentagon and CIA, went separate ways in Syria. Growing competition between the US military and militarized CIA broke into the open in Syria.

Fed up with the astounding incompetence of the White House, the US military launched and supported its own rebel groups in Syria, while CIA did the same.

The Tide is Turning: The Official Story Is Now The Conspiracy Theory — Paul Craig Roberts

The question is: who are the real conspiracy kooks, the majority who disbelieve the official lies or the minority who believe the official lies?

In a few days it will be the 15th anniversary of 9/11, and this November 13 will be the 53rd anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas. These two state crimes against democracy destroyed American democracy, accountable government, and the Constitution’s protections of civil liberty.

Years after the damage done by these events the American people no longer believe the official stories. Neither does the government, but the government will never validate the distrust that Americans now share of “their” government by acknowledging the truth.

Obama: US to Maintain Military Presence in South China Sea

Speaking today during an official visit to Laos, President Obama vowed that the US would retain a military presence in the South China Sea on an essentially permanent basis, saying it was necessary to show regional allies of America’s commitment.

Our commitment to your defense is a solemn obligation that will never waver,” Obama insisted, adding that warplanes would continue to fly over the South China Sea, and warships would continue to sail through the area. Pentagon officials have made much of such overflights as “confronting China.”

Maritime claims within the South China Sea are hotly disputed, with the US making a policy of supporting everyone else in claims conflicting with China’s, and urging them to negotiated when the disputes don’t involve China. The US has suggested it is obliged by treaty to militarily support the Philippines in particular in claims conflicting with China.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the US government and military will keep "playing picador" with China until something explodes (perhaps a US false flag?!?), and China cannot afford to ignore a military confrontation.

Bad Luck and Worse Manners Tarnish Obama’s Asia Trip

Mr. Obama is dealing with other headwinds, not least that he is a lame-duck leader in the last five months of his term. Back home, his struggles are viewed through the unforgiving lens of election-year politics. Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee, tweeted that the Chinese snubbed Mr. Obama and that Mr. Duterte called him a “?‘son of a whore.’ Terrible!”

For a president eager to burnish his legacy, the trip has in fact yielded progress on several fronts, most notably climate change. But the miscues illustrate how poor planning, or even plain bad luck, can undermine a president’s performance abroad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are a couple of really, unforgivable gaffes on the President's part at the G-20 which NYT refuses to discuss, and they are as follows:

Obama Crashes G20 by Warning Beijing of ‘Consequences’ in the South China Sea

This was the geopolitical equivalent to "relieving oneself" in a host's pool or tub, then assuring them it was raining.

And then, he had the following exchange with Russia's President Putin:

Obama Threatens Cyber War on Russia at G20

Why, in the name of heaven, and in the hosting country of China, he could have been so terribly, brazenly petulant at the leaders of both China and Russia is a mystery.

But there is one scenario in which these accusations and insults make sense; and this is, if the White House and DNC polls show Trump winning the election in November by a landslide, the current administration would love to "gift" President Trump with one or perhaps two wars, before he has even taken the Oath of Office.

Obama Crashes G20 by Warning Beijing of ‘Consequences’ in the South China Sea

After being poorly received at the airport ahead of the G20 Summit, President Obama created a stir at the summit threatening "consequences" against China while in the country as a guest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is the diplomatic equivalent of pissing in your host's punch bowl! And to Chinese sensibilities, this is a horrible insult.

It looks like my concern about Trump was accurate. With Hillary self-destructing, the establishment is going to start a major war and stick Trump with it, the way the bankers created the Depression of the 1930s and stuck Herbert Hoover with it.

But Trump is a businessman and he is not obsessed with his historical legacy the way professional politicians are. I would not be surprised if his first act as President would be to call Russia and China and say, "This war is a stupid idea by my predecessors; let's just call it off. Putin would agree instantly. China might require more in the way of a formal expression of regret. But it could be done.

Obama Vows to Work to Tighten Sanctions on North Korea

In the wake of another missile launch, President Barack Obama vowed Tuesday to work with the United Nations to tighten sanctions against North Korea, but added that the U.S. was still open to dialogue if the government changes course.

Obama signaled the U.S. would redouble its effort to choke off North Korea's access to international currency and technology by tightening loopholes in the current sanctions regime. Obama called the series of ballistic missile launches "provocations" that flouted international law and would only lead to further isolation.

"We are going to work diligently together with the most recent U.N. sanctions," Obama told reporters after meeting with South Korean President Park Geun-hye. "We're going to work together to make sure we're closing loopholes and make them even more effective."

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to President Obama; sir, in order to really ratchet down the tensions, you really need the diplomatic assistance of North Korea's long-term provider.

That, sir, would be China.

However, do you remember what you said yesterday at the G-20 about China?!?

If, not, sir, please allow me to refresh your memory:

After being poorly received at the airport ahead of the G20 Summit, President Obama created a stir at the summit threatening "consequences" against China while in the country as a guest. On Monday, President Barack Obama leveled a severe warning against what he views as China’s continued misbehavior in the South China Sea saying that there will be "consequences" if Beijing refuses to back down from its increasingly aggressive behavior that he says is worrying its neighbors.

Forgive me, sir, but for an Asian country, and particularly China, the host of this year's G-20, this was the geopolitical equivalent of "relieving yourself" in a host's swimming pool, and assuring them it is raining.

I cannot imagine what in heaven's name possessed you to make those statements, but I can assure you of one thing; those statements will cause China to provide absolutely zero assistance on this issue of the North Korean missile program; you and South Korean President Park Geun-hye are almost, completely on your own with this.

And ultimately, you and President Geun-hye cannot resolve it with Chinese participation.

This is a damned shame, Mr. President, but you have brought this on yourself with those petulant, ill-conceived and ill-timed remarks at the G-20.

The repercussions from those statements will, unfortunately sir, come back to bite you in some very delicate areas of the human anatomy; that is, unless you made those statements which were calculated to provoke China into a shooting war in the South China Seas before the end of your Presidency, because you want to "gift" Trump with an horrific war (because your numbers predict a Trump landslide) even before he takes the oath of Office.

The Ultimate 21st Century Choice: OBOR Or War

The G20 meets in tech hub Hangzhou, China, at an extremely tense geopolitical juncture.

China has invested immense political/economic capital to prepare this summit. The debates will revolve around the main theme of seeking solutions “towards an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world economy.”

G20 Trade Ministers have already agreed to lay down nine core principles for global investment. At the summit, China will keep pressing for emerging markets to have a bigger say in the Bretton Woods system.

But most of all China will seek greater G20 backing for the New Silk Roads – or One Belt, One Road (OBOR), as they are officially known – as well as the new Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

So at the heart of the G20 we will have the two projects which are competing head on to geopolitically shape the young 21st century.

Would America Really Go to War Over the South China Sea?

So then the hard question must be answered. We can imagine the scene in the Situation Room. The diplomatic and strategic advisers remind the President that this is not about someone else’s islands or waters: America’s credibility and the future of its leadership in Asia is on the line. Stepping back and allowing China to defy Washington’s warnings would fatally undermine the entire U.S. position in Asia, and reinforce China’s. The stakes are therefore enormous, and argument for military action is correspondingly clear.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...preserving U.S. primacy in these regions was the non-negotiable goal of US policy." ?!?!?

The cost, to the US government, in terms of blood and money already spent to enforce its alleged "U.S. supremacy", through such polices and conceptual codswallop, has been staggering.

The cost to the American people, who have lost family, and friends, or seen them maimed for life, in wars for global conquest of resources, has been staggering.

Every bit of military spending dead-ends the economy, as the US infrastructure is absolutely crumbling.

The country has a war-weary, war-skeptical electorate which understands, painfully clearly, the depths to which the US government lied about "Saddam's weapons of mass destruction" in order to "sell" them a war which was ultimately about the corporate control of Iraq's oil, and in what currency that oil will be sold.

The scenario with China isn't terribly different; although having witnessed some bumps in the road economically, and experiencing difficulty with financial reporting issues, China does seem to be on the ascent, economically.

It now offers a gold-backed yuan, which is not at all convertible to US dollar currency.

The US government wants to see China's economic ascendancy broken, and by any means necessary; one of those means, obviously, would be a war against it.

I am certain that some of their thinktankers (like the Rand corporation) have already laid out numerous possibilities for "selling" the American people on the necessity for this war, and the logistical issues which must be addressed to potentially create a successful war.

Of course, it's never "their kids" who get killed and maimed in war; it's always "other people's children", which makes them simply irrelevant, and their collateral damage simply the "cost of doing the business of war."

However, in looking at the "miredness" of the US government and our military, in these current wars, overt and covert, in places like Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya, and Somalia, I would like to hope that these chronic, EPIC military fails might give politicians and the corporate heads of the military/industrial complex, who drive American foreign policy, just a little moment to pause here.

Because if the US-enabled Saudi military is unable to "win" against the people of Yemen, can someone please tell me how the Sam Hill the US government believes it can win a shooting war against China?!?

China conscripts, and has a huge edge in terms of troop strength.

China's recent advances in weaponry and warfare electronics is nothing short of amazing (of course, President Clinton aided and abetted this "great leap forward" by authorizing that transfer technology, courtesy of Loral, which has come to be known as "Chinagate").

Simply put, this time in its history, the American Military does not have the money, the troop strength, the weaponry, or the manufacturing to insure a successful conventional war with China.

Therefore, I would strongly caution our President, our Pentagon, and the corporate heads of the military/industrial complex that now would be a lousy time to pick a military fight with China, because the US government may well lose, because of those facts I have articulated above.

The results of such a war could be both catastrophic...and irreversible.

China forces Barack Obama to emerge from Air Force One's 'ass' in sharp diplomatic snub

This headline doesn't mislead! Great headline!

US President Barack Obama, often heralded as the world's most powerful leader, was forced to go out of Air Force One's "ass" when his plane landed in China in what has been regarded as a sharp and calculated diplomatic snub by Beijing.

Uncle “Sham” Says Dance, And the Band Played On

As usual, I have much to absorb and learn….

Those political, Republicratic “Conventions” clarified nothing and–despite the glitter, sparkle, balloons and flags, the pledges of allegiance, hands over the Constitution &/or one’s heart, the pretty words and gruff challenges—they succeeded in confounding and bewildering.

And this is the US political scene now! A barrage of imagery and fantasies—onrushing and nearly exploding our heads… and the band plays on!

Look for substance, and you will not find it. It’s a mirage. A chimera. It’s smoke in your hands.

Cracks emerge in China's image as Obama snubbed at G20 summit

Misleading headline! This reflects on Obama and his NWO policies. He also managed to insult the Brits today. This "man"is bringing America into total disrepute. Does anybody in the District of Criminals even care?

In a series of heated disputes that nearly led to blows, Chinese officials harassed foreign reporters and embarrassed U.S. President Barack Obama from the first moments of his arrival.

Other leaders, including President Shinzo Abe of rival Japan, walked off their airplanes onto red carpet-draped steps. Mr. Obama emerged from an auxiliary exit in the bowels of his plane, as Chinese officials then tried to bar the travelling press corps from watching and blocked U.S. national security adviser Susan Rice. “This is our country. This is our airport,” one official said in withering explanation.

BEXALERT: G20 ‘staircase snub’ for Obama was United States’ decision, reveals Chinese official

This is really funny.Notice that the Chinese official isn't named!

It was Washington’s decision to have US President Barack Obama disembark from his plane through a small bare metal stairway instead of the usual rolling red-carpet staircase that state leaders get, a Chinese foreign ministry official has revealed.
Speculation has been flying about whether China was deliberately snubbing Obama since media reports on Saturday showed the US leader exiting the Air Force One through the small stairway.

On Sunday, Obama told reporters that the significance of a row between US and Chinese officials on the airport tarmac upon his arrival should not be overblown.
“I wouldn’t overcrank the significance” of tensions at the airport, Obama said later on Sunday, according to Reuters.

The Neocon in the Oval Office

Neoconservatives are wedded to war, death and destruction. It is the foundation of their policy and it dominates the culture that they have created.

If Hillary Rodham Clinton becomes US President, she will be the first neoconservative to actually occupy that office.

Israel and its supporters were inseparable from the neoconservative movement from the beginning.

Many neocons were already Zionist or pro-Zionist, and their support for aggressive militarism was largely indistinguishable from Israel’s own strategic plans.

To the extent that the neocon movement could sell Israel’s views as solidly American, it could bend the resources of the most powerful military on earth for Israel’s own ends.

The leaders of China and the US have attended a ceremony with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, while formally signing their countries up to the Paris climate agreement. Despite all the smiles and handshakes, not everything was rosy. As soon as Obama landed in China, the US president declared Beijing must avoid flexing its muscles in the South China Sea.

China Must 'Abide By International Law' In South China Sea Dispute – Obama

As China looks to assert itself internationally, US President Barack Obama is urging Beijing to be a good global citizen and show more responsibility. China should stop “flexing muscle” in disputes and show reciprocity, he told CNN.

“What we have said to the Chinese – and we’ve been firm consistently about this – is you have to recognize that with increasing power comes increasing responsibilities,” Obama told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria.

FLASHBACK: Bill Clinton Collected Donations, Then US Missile Tech Shipped To China

Former President Bill Clinton approved the sale of sensitive U.S. missile technology to China following donations from a key missile manufacturer to his campaign, in a move prescient of the Clinton Foundation’s “pay-to-play” activities.

Bernard Schwartz donated about $1.5 million to the Democratic Party and Clinton’s 1996 campaign for reelection between 1994 and 1998. Schwartz, who was at the time chairman of Loral Space & Communication Ltd., seems to have used his influence to persuade the Clinton administration to switch the licensing authority for missile exports from the Department of State to the Department of Commerce, as the latter was more vulnerable to political influence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Notice how wonderfully China's war technology has evolved, and how quickly?!?

You can thank Bill Clinton and Loral for that.

All the Chinese needed were the "building block" technologies, and then they were off and running. Here are some examples of the evolution in their war weapons and technology.

Coming soon to the South China Sea: Beijing’s best weapons of war

Chinese ballistic missile submarines should definitely cause concern

What President Clinton did, with approval of this "transfer technology" from Loral, was to compromise American security, and it was all for his love of money.

And there is a word for this: it's called treason.

Of course, such a thing will not happen until pigs fly, but this man should be lawfully accused, his case prosecuted through the American system of due process, judged by a jury, convicted, and spend what is left of his life in a prison which is NOT a "Club Fed."

US Arms Makers Invest in a New Cold War

The U.S. military has won only a single major war since the end of World War II (the Gulf War of 1990-91). But U.S. military contractors continue to win major budget wars in Congress nearly every year, proving that no force on earth can resist their lobbying prowess and political clout.

Consider the steady march to victory of the biggest single weapons program in history — the planned purchase of advanced Lockheed-Martin F-35 jets by the Air Force, Navy, and Marines at a total projected cost of more than $1 trillion.

The Air Force and Marines have both declared the Joint Strike Fighter ready for combat, and Congress is now forking over billions of dollars a year to acquire what is slated to become a fleet of 2,400 jets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hype does not win wars; a combination of weapons that actually work, coupled with brilliant tactics, and a thorough knowledge of one's enemies, win wars.

As stated later in this article:

Think tanks like the Lexington Institute are prime movers behind the domestic propaganda campaign to revive the Cold War against the diminished Russian state and justify weapons programs like the F-35. As Lee Fang observed recently in The Intercept, “The escalating anti-Russian rhetoric in the U.S. presidential campaign comes in the midst of a major push by military contractors to position Moscow as a potent enemy that must be countered with a drastic increase in military spending by NATO countries.” Thus the Lockheed-funded Aerospace Industries Association warns that the Obama administration is failing to spend enough on “aircraft, ship and ground combat systems” to adequately address “Russian aggression on NATO’s doorstep.” The Lockheed- and Pentagon-funded Center for European Policy Analysis issues a stream of alarmist reports about Russian military threats to Eastern Europe. And the highly influential Atlantic Council — funded by Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon, the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, and even the Ukrainian World Congress — promotes articles like “Why Peace is Impossible with Putin” and declares that NATO must “commit to greater military spending” to deal with “a revanchist Russia.”

That the warmongers in the military/industrial complex are driving US foreign policy is no secret; but unfortunately, the "cold war" after which they lust, could very quickly turn into a hot war around the world, in places like the South China Sea; Ukraine; Syria; and beyond.

The F-35 is symptomatic of everything that is completely wrong with the US government's weapons procurement program, and demonstrates, painfully clearly, the incestuous relationship between weapons manufacturers, and those congressional representatives who green light their contracts, yet get heavy elections contributions from those same weapons manufacturers.

This has to stop, for the weapons procurement programs to function effectively.

But unfortunately, this "much-challenged" F-35 could well prove the US military's "Waterloo", if deployed without getting these engineering deficits sorted in short order.

And Lockheed-Martin should pay for their fixes out of their own pocket, having gouged the American taxpayer for a fighter jet costing one trillion dollars which does not function.

The Real Secret of the South China Sea

To understand the Big Picture, we need to go back to 1890 when Alfred Mahan, then president of the US Naval College, wrote the seminal The Influence of Sea Power Upon History, 1660-1783. Mahan’s central thesis is that the US should go global in search of new markets, and protect these new trade routes through a network of naval bases.

That is the embryo of the US Empire of Bases – which de facto started after the Spanish-American war, over a century ago, when the US graduated to Pacific power status by annexing the Philippines, Hawaii and Guam.

Obama, Putin Likely to Speak at G20 Despite No Formal Meeting Planned

US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin will likely speak at the G20 Summit next week in Beijing despite having no formal meeting scheduled, US National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes said in a press briefing on Monday. "We don’t have a bilateral meeting scheduled; however, it has been the case at each of the summits that they both attend that we usually try to find an opportunity for the two leaders to spend some time together, usually to focus on Syria and Ukraine," Rhodes told reporters. "So, I don’t know that they’ll have a formal bilateral meeting, but I expect that they’ll have an opportunity to speak on the margins of the G20."

Webmaster's Commentary:

With so much tension going on in the geopolitical sphere, it is critically important that these two leaders speak, intelligently, and rationally, with each other.

I have rarely seen the world on such a hair-trigger towards total war in my lifetime

Arms Race: China’s New Missile Defense System to Defend Against US, South Korea

With ongoing tensions in the South China Sea and on the Korean peninsula, Beijing has deemed its third-generation surface-to-air missile combat-ready. In the latest sign of a new arms race between the United States and China, Beijing’s Air Force has announced the completion of a new missile defense system. © AP PHOTO/ CHIANG YING-YING Taiwan to Indict Three Soldiers Over Accidental Missile Launch Toward China "Through innovation, ground-to-air defense troops are able to deal with far-range, medium-range and short-range missiles which can come in on high, medium and low altitudes," PLA Air Force spokesman Shen Jinke said in a statement released on China’s Defense Ministry website, according to the International Business Times.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As much as I hate to say this, it appears that the US government is escalating its plans for initiating a shooting war with both China and Russia.

As we have said many times on this site, what matters most is an intelligent preparation for such an act on the part of the US government.

As Obama heads to Laos, signs of a tilt away from China

The secretive communist government of Laos, a country with a population of less than 7 million, rarely causes a ripple on the diplomatic circuit. And yet its sleepy capital will spring to life next week when global leaders arrive for an Asian summit.

Barack Obama will be among them, making the last push of his presidency to 'rebalance' Washington's foreign policy toward Asia, a strategy widely seen as a response to China's economic and military muscle-flexing across the region.

The might of Laos' giant neighbor to the north is hard to miss in Vientiane: wealthy Chinese driving SUVs overtake tuk-tuks sputtering along the roads and Chinese-backed hotels sprout from noisy construction sites in one of Asia's most low-rise cities.

But diplomats say Obama could be pushing on an open door in Laos, thanks to a change of government there in April.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly won't hold my breath until such a rapprochement happens; China is a lot closer than is the US, and a far more definitive power in the region.
