As indicated ILGA-Europe, an organization fighting for LGBTQ rights, "sexual orientation and gender identity were more accurately defined in local languages by the new amendments. In addition to these changes, sex characteristics was explicitly added to the list of protected grounds. This means that intersex people will now be protected by law from discrimination in all spheres of life."
For now, Bosnia and Herzegovina follows the guidelines for joining the European Union. We can of course only welcome this progress and its new protections, after other laws to allow greater equality and to fight against hate crimes.
